RE: Axe CP Heli- Replace ESC with lipo compat? Broken part identification? (pic)

If you have a "V1" Axeit's 3 in 1is (was) NOT compatable with the 11.1v LiPo, the V1were NiMh powered so if that is the caseyou damaged the 3 in 1 due to excess voltage. (It's possible that it [3 in...

RE: axe cp help?

Motor life will always be a problem with these helis. After 11 mos. I finally parked mine due to the cost of replacements. But then again I'd fly 6 packs a day.

RE: cp and cp3

The 3 in 1's are completely compatable up or down between the v2 / v3 revisions (v1 was NiMH) The LiPo protection module (LPM) is not required for flight. However if you are not able to monitor...

RE: Axe Cp Problems (No Lift)

Sounds like you did follow the book... but it is wrong. At least the CP-L (V2?) book's exploded diagram of the head and grips was.

Most likely you have the blade grips reversed.

Thus you...

RE: Axe CP Issues

The 3 in 1's pot(s) should NOT rotate more than about 270 deg. (~3/4 rotation).

If it is turning continuously, something is wrong.

RE: having problem with my axe cpv3

If the main rotor IS working then it could be a problem with the 3 in 1 board (tail ESC), the connection to the motor, a Rx connection problem.

If you're sure the tail motor and capacitor is...

RE: Help

The manual is of little use in this case.

SAVE and/or PRINT that graphic Mr. S-99 has provided.

You'll need it again.

RE: Spectrum DX7 binding question

I agree with AN above.

If you have the battery plugged in backwards it will not power up, thus no led. (The bind plug however is not polarized.)

RE: WHAT GYRO WORKS GOOD ON A CPV3

Sorry,

I only have experience with the GY240 on an Axe CP-l (a.k.a. v2). It worked great!

You may need to wait a few days for more folks to check-in to see if anyone can give you first hand...

Your in good hands with plenty of gurus here Mr. Anderson... but hey, how about turning off the "caps lock"!

RE: How to get to swashplate assembly on CP v3?

Yea,

If you have removed the screw at either end and the links from the servos you really need to pull hard. I actuall had a friend help hold the heli frame and tapped the shaft out from the...

RE: axe cp thread

I never had to remove anything to get the main motor out/in but it does take some patience to remove / replace those screws.

You will have to solder eventually as the new ones don't have leads...

RE: axe cp thread

joebecerra1947,

I never had to separate or even loosen the frame to replace the main motor (3 times, ughhh).

Unsolder it, remove the heatsink and you can "wiggle" it out.

Heatsink...

RE: newbbbbbbbbbbeeeeeeeeeee

That's what I started with. Actually a CP-l (v2?).

I flew it for a year.

Great for teaching hovering, flying basics, and eCCPM setup & repair.

If you feel you are going to stay in the...

RE: Little to no Lift - AXE CP-L

Well, yes, depending on the definition of slightly, the leading or fat edge of the blades should move up as the swash moves down.

The problem for me to help you with certainty is that my Axe...

RE: BEC or Voltage regulator

If your skilled in such things, shortening wires is not a bad thing.
I will do it the next time I need to (i.e.crash).
It has no real benefit other than weight and a "tidy-er" looking model.
If...

RE: Little to no Lift - AXE CP-L

OK,

That 3 pin thing sounds like a servo connector (not sure as I can't see it. (ha, ha))

Nothing requires relearning with a stock Axe so you're OK there.

But you could have reversed...

RE: Still Unresolved Problem with Heli-Max LPM E-board Axe CPv3

Mr bdelmonte,

This whole fuse thing is puzzling to me as I never saw the need with my Axe CP-l (v2?).

As an electronics tech with 23 yrs. experience I clearly understand the purpose and...

RE: Little to no Lift - AXE CP-L

Chevrltz71,

You said: "No collective".
Does the swash plate move down as you increase the throttle i.e. move the left Tx stick up?

If no then there may be an issue with the Tx. ( The...

RE: BEC or Voltage regulator

Can you be more specific?

Do you have an ESC already?

Many ESCs contain a BEC, or do you have special current capacity needs?

RE: Anyone buy here

What guys?

The CP v3 blades have a thicker root than the earlier models so CP & CP-l compatible (aftermarket or 3rd party) blades will not work without spacers or similar.

RE: HH gyro for stabilization.

OK, that application makes it easier to help or at least understand how it would be used.

You simply need to attach the gyro to the hull as close to the center of rotation as possible and the...
