RE: Cowling halves

I failed to mention that I "did" put fiberglass cloth on the inside to hold the halves together. However, the seams still have a slight open space and I want to fill it in to hold it better and at...

RE: How to get Baked ON castor OFF?

Here is what I heard of doing and then I tried it. It worked great! Boil a pot of water, pour it in a container that you will never use for food, put some dish powder soap (any kind) and drop your...

RE: servo and throttle configuration

Bill, thank you for all the explanation. It's not completely clear to me, so I guess this is going to be one of those areas that Iwill have to find someone who has a muti engine plane and have them...

servo and throttle configuration

I know nothing about multi engine planes. I have never seen the inside working of one either. One day I thought that I may want to tackle such a plane. But then I got to wondering how on earth the...

I recently purchased a .60 size mount that suggested mounting the engine with a 3.5 cap bolt. I bought a pack of four and when I went to get my tap & drill set for metric bolts, I found that I had no...

techometer

I once saw a club member use a techometer while the engine was running. I know nothing about this instrument. But I get the idea that it has everything to do with the amount of RPM's turning. Now if...

SIG LT-40 question

Would like to know if the Sig LT-40 "KIT" (not ARF) uses ailerons. I have read the info on this plane, but cannot tell if this is an aircraft that does or does not have ailerons. I'm sure there is...

RE: canopy glue

Thank you KROSSK. I will give that a try. I do know that the clean up on the instructions say that water is all that is needed to clean the excess glue off of whatever it is attached too.

RE: Thoughts on the Great Planes Ultra Sport 40 Plus Kit

I have built this plane and regretted it. It is an extremely fast plane. However, I chose to put retracts on it and found that the instructions were horrible. The wire configuration that they gave...

RE: Warped balsa

Thank you DaveB. I'll try that wet thing suggestion and if that doesn't work, then I'll try either of the two other things that you suggested.

Warped balsa

I recently purchased a 4-Star from Sig. It wasn't until time to work on the sanding of the ailerons that I noticed one of them was so badly warped (bow'd) that I doubt that it can even go on . It...

webeflyin,
No, I doubt that the video's were sent only to special people. If that were the case I would have had no chance of getting one. May I suggest that you drop them an e-mail and tell...

I have only built three planes from kits so far. I recently crashed my Sig 4-Star three times. The first two times damaged the wing in two places with only the spars broken. That was an easy fix.
