RE: T-Bone Racing Q&As

I have a T-Bone bumper on my Vendetta ST and is has held up great. In fact, I liked it so much that now I would like to fit a t-bone bumper onto my DTX Mini Quake.

I know T-Bone Racing does...

RE: HELP! E-Maxx Pinion too short for T-Maxx cvd!

I got the pinion from a 3.3 and it is the same as the brushless emaxx. So now I have got a pinion from a 2.5 (p/n 4981) and that works.

HELP! E-Maxx Pinion too short for T-Maxx cvd!

I want to install E-Maxx (3908) diffs into my T-Maxx. So I ordered them from ebay and found that they input pinion is too short. The screw that holds the cvd to pinion will not align with the pilot...

RE: MIP Black CVD stronger than Shiny CVD?

Cool. Thanks for the responses. I guess I will be getting a set of shiny cvds.

RE: crash damage

Been there. Sometime back a kid and his buddy came up to me and kept pestering to want to drive my T-Maxx. I didn't know these kids but after all a while of them asking over and over again, I...

MIP Black CVD stronger than Shiny CVD?

It seems like MIP doesn't make the black cvd set for the 2.5 t-maxx anymore. I can only find the shiny cvd set.

Other than the looks, can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the...

RE: EZ Run 3900 in detta st - servo, pinion

Thanks Rubber junkie. Yup, I mistakenly called it EZ run. It was the turnigy 3900 motor I was interested in. I was going to run a 35a esc from either turnigy or EZ run. The thing that confuses me...

RE: 3.3 diffs stronger than RRP ring/pinion? BB diff options needed.

I believe its because the E-Maxx pinion is too short for the cvds. Here is a good thread on that.

BTW, Thanks Snook Man for recommending the BL E-Maxx diff. I looked at the exploded views of...

RE: 3.3 diffs stronger than RRP ring/pinion? BB diff options needed.

Thanks snook man. I couldn't find a 4009 input pinion, maybe you meant to say 4909. I’m also thinking of getting aluminum diff cups for the spider gears. I just don’t know if I can find an...

Did you ever figure out what type of diff that is and who makes it?

3.3 diffs stronger than RRP ring/pinion? BB diff options needed.

The stock .15 pinion gear in the front finally died so I have been researching my upgrade options. I don’t want to get hybrid bulkheads and diffs since I already have aluminum bulkheads front/rear....

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

I am so confused now.

And Sorry Snook Man, I did not mean to point fingers. :D And you are correct, you only said T-Maxx trucks, not Revos. But what confuses me is, just as you mentioned,...

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

Sorry Snook Man, but I would have to disagree. The Revo 3.3 clutch bell (8018) will not mesh with the 72p spur gear for a 2.5 T-Maxx as you can see in post #13.

BTW, I like the wheelies I get...

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

Here you see my RRP 19t clutch bell for a 2.5 T-Maxx will mesh up properly with the RRP 72t spur gear.

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

Here is how the Revo 3.3 18t clutch bell meshes with the 72t 32p RRP steel spur gear. You can see when the middle tooth is in line, the outside teeth are not in line with the spur.

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

Here is a side view of both these RRP clutch bells. The Revo 3.3 cb is on the left and the T-Maxx 2.5 cb is on the right. It shows how Revo 3.3 18t clutch bell is much larger than a 19t T-Maxx 2.5.

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

On the left is a RRP 18t (p/n#8018) clutch bell for a Revo 3.3 next to a RRP 19t (#8119) for a 2.5 T-Maxx on the right.

Since the Revo cb is an 18t and the T-Maxx cb is a 19t, you would image...

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

That is the RRP # 8040 which is a 40 spur and 16t clutch bell combo for a Revo 3.3. And although it would probably fit on a 3.3 T-Maxx, that Revo clutch bell (#8016) will not mesh with a 72t 32p...

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

From my research, a 2.5 spur gear is a 72 tooth 32 pitch spur. The 3.3 is a different pitch.

And I still haven't found a harden 16t clutch bell for my setup. I guess they don't make them. ...

RE: Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

BTW, the spur gear is a robinson racing 72 tooth with the pitch for a 2.5 t-maxx. I see RR makes a 3.3 16t clutch bell but I don't know if they are the same as the 2.5 clutch bell. I know for sure...

Robinson Racing does not have a 16t. The smallest one they have is a 19t which I already have.

Who makes a Hardened 16t Clutch Bell for TMaxx

Does anyone where I can find 16t hardened clutch bell for a T-Maxx? I don’t want the
traxxas 16t cluch bell, I want to find a real Hardened 16t clutch bell. So far I can’t find one.

I...
