RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

RE: Should i replace?

surely its the slack thats a problem, not the curved groove it has worn? slack would cause more of a jolt to the drivetrain during sharp acceleration, which would cause more stress on the engine and...

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

if its flipping, it may be the suspension is too hard, causing the ride height to be too high. Its the opposite of what you think you need, but if you put softer springs / thinner shock oil in, the...

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

no, by 'lift' I mean when the weight shifts to the rear under acceleration, meaning the front end goes light and the wheels are more likely to slip, spin, and balloon. I wanted to prevent this as...

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

Well a thicker centre diff will stop the power going straight to the front when the front lifts off the ground during acceleration. Thicker oil distributes the torque more evenly between the two...

RE: GO .25 Breakin in (heat cycle) F-UP!

Adjust the LSN. I found that adjusting the HSN during break in did nearly nothing. Because during break in the engine is only revving around its low end, the LSN is the most effective needle. Its...

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

I put thicker in to prevent the front wheels spinning, maybe I need to use 7-10 and see how that affects the turning, I just hate the front wheels ballooning when I drive in a straight line

RE: GO .25 : One gallon in...

Ok, well I just used some RTV Silicone gasket maker on the back plate, carb and needles. Is it ok on the orings of the carb needles? I've just applied it, so if its a bad idea I will take it off

RE: GO .25 : One gallon in...

I going to get some gasket sealant today, can I use that on the needles? If its silicone I don't see it being a problem, but if its copper sealant, will it cause any problems? I see people using...

RE: GO .25 : One gallon in...

I cleaned everything apart from the crank case (bearings etc) but I might get some carb cleaner when I get some silicone gasket sealant today, and do it all before I put the back plate back on

RE: GO .25 : One gallon in...

I can imagine, so back to my question. The plating which appears to have worn away above the pinch line (the combustion area), will it have any negative effect? or is the plating important for just...

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
