The SPAD XIII "Smith IV" at the Smithsonian Air and Space museum in DC has little square cloth patches with German Iron Crosses on them. Very cool. Must have a couple of dozen patches.

I was hoping to fly this morning with a new engine on my old 4star 60 but nooooo! First, too much wind. Can't fix that. Second, the new engine is fuel starved. It seems like some kind of air leak....

Thanks Pete. I will have to look at the cells when I get home. I got them from one of the online battery places and they are generic looking cells with slip on cardboard covers and cost $1.97 each....

I removed the tank and replaced the fuel and pressure lines but I didn't take the clunk line out and check it. It could be that. Too bad. THe tank is a pain to get out.

Hmmm. I had a link to a website that had a really nice Proctor Nieuport 28 build along on it but I have lost it. As I recall, it was a .uk site and like a British version or RCU. Anyone know the site?

I called Proctoron the engine angle. He says mount it zero-zero. No deflection. didn't ask about prop clearance.

I came to that conclusion myself over the weekend and I put a 22-10 on it. The max RPM went up 220 RPM and the engine seemed to run cooler.
