Take note that I live in Denver, and our club altitude is 5400' +

We lose 20% of our power just because of altitude.

I have a low wing skyraider with an OS .40 LA engine in it. The plane flys.. thats about it. it acts like the very basic step up from a trainer.

Hangar 9 Guts PNP Models and major price hike!

I was all prepared to buy the Hangar 9 pulse 40 PNP for my own Christmas present, to only find out by the local hobby store that Hangar 9 actually recalled the model. Their website no longer lists...

I ended up buying the Cub... Crashed it three times, never seriously. Repaired it very nicely each and then hung it from my ceiling. It's a great show piece now :-( ..

Katana's dont have retracts afaik...





We have a 400' paved runway, so thats not an issue.

Pattern plane style / type. Fast and stable - I want to stay away from scale/warbird, but if someone has a recomendation...

My theory is that when I'm flying scale, i always aim for the numbers. I think I should be touching down between 10-50' after the runway starts.

So I fly full scale and when you fly full scale, you always have a landing touchdown target.. I've tried to keep that target in mind when I'm landing the RC versions.

Our runway is 400' long,...

Not sure how satisfied with horizon / saito warranty

I purchased a Saito .72 in april. It ran great for 4 months until one day it broke the connector from the piston to the crankshaft. Called HH, and they suggested i replace it myself.

I did.....

I've just finished my Hangar 9 Twist 40 and ready to take it out to the field and see what happens.

I've equipped it with a Saito .72

So, I called all the authorized hangar 9 stores in the Denver area, and not a single one has the expansion pack available.

A few of the stores commented that the Hangar 9 product is just not...

Wow its big!

Never really put into perspective the 80" wingspan. Makes the 57" wingspan on my ultra stick 40 pale.
