I would say your supplier is incorrect. The sides of my Taylorcraft are white as white can be - top to bottom. Maybe all that he has seen have the yellow/brown stripe, but not all have it.

I use Dubro nylon steering arms (P/N 166) for my Walbro throttle arms. The nylon arm has a brass insert with set screw - works great. $1.70 each.

I finished my Hangar 9 Taylorcraft right before Christmas. Santa brought me an iPod instead of the RCGuys Super Decathlon I asked for. I was good all year too. :)

Got mine finished up tonight. It went together well with no problems and balanced right on the money with no added weight. ;)

If the weather holds I may get to fly it next weekend.

Height to the top of the cockpit area - 19 1/2"
