Very nice rig! I was looking at a similar 6x6, but the 8x8 is cooler. I guess from the darkened windows of the cab that there is not interior at all, huh? It is always nice to have a driver at the...

Scale Crawler Videos

Here are a few videos I've uploaded to YouTube in the last few months that seem to get very few views. :( There's a heavily modified Axial Wraith, a modified SCX10 with a Jeep body and a converted...

West Coast Choppers Skull Riderz

I have one and I'm about to crack it open and install an ESC, receiver and servo. I'll probably improve the handling a bit with some mods.

Anyone ever tried anything like this to one of these?...

RE: Quick Question: Tamiya CC01 Jeep

Well, phooey! It seems goofy to have mounting places with nothing to mount. Oh well, thanks! I'll grind them off.:)

RE: Quick Question: Tamiya CC01 Jeep

Good guess, but no. The Jeep body attaches to the chassis at the front and rear, too. I thought that maybe the holes were for some sort of nerf bar or running board, but nothing like that came with...

Quick Question: Tamiya CC01 Jeep

I'm finally finishing my YJ, but I see a problem. On the bottom sides of the Jeep body there are holes and a slot that make me believe that a part is missing, but the instructions don't mention this...

Thank you all. [sm=thumbup.gif] Halfway expected an Ebay vendor to not have a clue - especially since the receivers were no mentioned in the listing - but I e-mailed the seller and was told that they...

RE: confused

I ordered them but I'm sure it will take a month for them to arrive. I just don't want to have to wait another month because the IR receivers do not come with the tanks. [:o]

RE: Tamiya KV-2 Gearbox

The third photo shows the two gears that should turn as one. I thought about a pin, but the plastic 'lip' that couples with the brass is too thin.

Unfortunately, the brass gear turns...

RE: Tamiya KV-2 Gearbox

No, but I think it would only be a temporary fix and I don't want to have to go back into the gearbox again. I thought about JB Weld, but I'm not sure if I can get the brass and plastic to bond...

Tamiya KV-2 Gearbox

The left gearbox in my KV-2 stopped working so I took it out and apart. The problem is that on one of the axles has a brass gear (with a hex end - like a nut) that seats inside a 32 tooth plastic...

RE: Finished(?) KV-2

From the video footage I can see that some of the road wheels and perhaps return rollers are not turning - probably because of paint. I'll have to get in there with some lube to see if I can free...

RE: Finished(?) KV-2

I took the tank out in the yard and tested it to see if the tracks were going to be thrown off since they look so loose. They stayed on, so I guess I'll leave them as is until I have a problem. While...

Finished(?) KV-2

I finally bought myself another tank (Thanks, Tomas!) and I just finished it. The plan was to make it look like a tank that had seen some time in harsh conditions, but with no damage to the chassis...
