RE: Brushed motor underwater?

It is for a submersible camera setup. I am going to run two motors such that I have total control over turning and forward/reverse, just like in a boat, but this will be submerged. Trying to come up...

Brushed motor underwater?

I have run a brushless motor underwater an it runs fine, at least in fresh water. Do you think a brushed motor will also work underwater? The reason for going brushed is that I already have a brushed...

RE: LiPo Fully Charged Voltage

Thanks all of you for the replies. I think I can conclude that since my MkII was originally for LiIon cells it is not charging my LiPoly's to full capacity (4.2 volts).

For info, I replaced the...

Thanks for the reply. I hear and understand what you are saying, however I know that my fuel tank setup is correct and in spec with the ST Manual. I just couldn't go rich enough without...

RE: Four Star 120 questions

berta,
Thanks for the nice reply. I have become fond of gas engines, especially the small ones. Putting it on a 4*60 was more a conversation piece than anything. Frankly, I am surprised it still...

RE: Four Star 120 questions

Berta,
The reason I suggested a larger gas engine than the G23 for the 4*120, is that I have flown my friends 4*120 and it will not do a vertical roll and still have any flying (like with a wing)...

RE: Four Star 120 questions

See my recent post concerning putting a G26 in the 4*60. That is a great combination, putting one in a 4*120 would not be. A 35 to 42 CC gas would be great. My friend is flying a 4*120 with the GMS...

RE: Zenoah G-26 works nice in 4*60

Sorry for not responding sooner, guys. I will get some pictures out soon. I bashed the plane a little, giving it the look of an Army trainer (PT-19), including color. The landing gear was moved to...

Zenoah G-26 works nice in 4*60

I just completed a 4*60 kit using a Zenoah G-26. I put the elevator and rudder servos in the rear and moved the firewall back 3/4" to keep the prop at the stock location. Weight came out 9 pounds and...

RE: Stability/inverted stall issues with CG Sukhoi ARF

Gremlin Castle,
The engine is a G-26, the weight is about 12 pounds, elevator expo is 30%. I didn't heed your advice and went ahead and moved the CG to 3/4" ahead of the recommended, and the expo...

RE: Stability/inverted stall issues with CG Sukhoi ARF

Should I just keep moving the CG forward to lessen this condition. Already I am having to "push" more than I like when inverted. However, when I pull straight up there is no indication the CG is off...

Stability/inverted stall issues with CG Sukhoi ARF

Even with the CG forward of recommended, my Carl Goldberg Sukhoi ARF stalls when going over the top inverted (Split 'S', reverse Cuban, etc.) and I am unable to get elevator or aileron response. It...

Butterfly position on G-26 must be correct!

The used G-26 I purchased wouldn't run except almost wide open. As the throttle would close it leaned out and died. I searched on RCU and found a thread that said the butterfly rotation must be in...

RE: need tuning help!!!

You should be able to run an 18-8 on a 31 cc engine. The Zenoah G-26 uses a 16-8 to 18-8 per the manual.

You are making things more clear for me now. I didn't fully understand before that the ether was the only "spark" even after the motor is fully warmed up. I thought as the engine warmed...

RE: Replacement for Ether?

Motorboy,
What is the autoignition temp for Coleman Fuel/white gas? The Coleman MSDS does not state this. I suspect it is like petroleum ether/naphtha/VM&P, but not sure.
