I think the "skins" idea is really awesome. Should make some of the sticklers roll their eyes! Hah! Just fly baby!

Here's my take one it....

I like closed wingtips as well. This is how I did it. Sorry no digital camera yet so no pics but I will try and explain.

1.Build wing
2. trace the wingtip outline onto a peice of 4 mil coro...

How about 2mil?

Would 2mil be strong enough for the quikhor wing? I would like to electrify one and want to know if the weight savings is worth the loss in strength/stiffness????

Split coro idea

I thought about splitting coro for a parkflyer/slow flyer wing. I was going to run the flutes spanwise, split the sheet, slip in the spar and a couple of rough former of coro then glue it back...
