Yup...did this with SLRs in the 90s as well...wife (girlfriend back then) was terrified I was gonna loose a camera...lol

Keep this in mind...

All of the mentioned cameras can do everything you want...98% of the quality is what you do with the camera. Chose the camera that feels the best in your hands and the menu...

...haha yeah the whole high speed thing is totally just for bragging rights.

Plus at those speeds MAN you cover a lot of ground fast...which means it disappears...

I entered an Olympus contest to prove how tough their waterproof/crushproof SW cameras are and out of thousands of submissions I'm one of the 20 finalists....

This was with an Olympus 1030 SW...

Well...somewhat...a slave driven flash will be triggered by your camera's PRE-flash and not your exposure flash. The result will be a*very* dark image.

Geez...even the Forester Turbo (SUV) is fast....0-60 in 5.5 and top speed of 130 stock...modded for the Texas Mile they're about to break 170....in daily driven...
