RE: HB 790 MEMS gyro from Hobbymate

Nice! How does it handle piro stops? Any bounce? Can any servo delay be programmed into the gyro?

RE: HB 790 MEMS gyro from Hobbymate

RE: 450 clones

If you want something to replace your Trex, go with the Tarot. I have had all of these and the EXI/HK/CopterX are all good but fit, finish, bearings, etc are much better on the Tarot. Also, the...

RE: Which bearings wear out first on a 450 size heli

The radial bearings in the blade grips and the Main shaft bearings will almost always go in the event of a crash. If you are going to get spares, that what I would get.

RE: Bought my first heli kit (how do u feel about copter-x)

The Futaba GY401 is great but old tech and higher priced than some better gyros like the GY520 or the Spartan Quark

RE: Bought my first heli kit (how do u feel about copter-x)

Good choices however I would not go with the 9650 on the tail because its way to slow and designed more for cyclic (500 size cyclic), Go with the 9257 on the tail. It has the same case but diff...

RE: Poll: Opinion on which 3D Heli

For this size I feel the Align design is the best for 3D, whether its a genuine 450Pro or a 450 Pro clone. Very smooth flying but also capable of the most extreme 3D.

RE: Bought my first heli kit (how do u feel about copter-x)

Thats a good heli. It will serve you well. I had one of these before my 450 Pro and I had no issues with it.

Make sure to use the best electronics you can afford.

RE: Haed Size???

500 and smaller typically represents the motor size. For those above 500, it typically stands for the blade length.

When you say "larger head"; what do you consider large?

RE: Is there a huge difference between cheap electrnoics and good electronics?450 PRO

If you really want a rock solid and precise tail, look for a specialized rudder servo or one with a speed around .07sec / 60 deg (JR DS3500G/ Futaba S9257). Next look for a MEMS type of gyro...

What is that you are not happy with now? Do you want faster response or a better holding, more precision?

RE: Beginner with a major wobble problem!

Yes. The Flybar (balance bar or gyro as you call it) needs to be straight. You can try to straiten it yourself and it may work ok. If you damaged the blades their is a good change you bent one of...

RE: Flight Times

My first suggestion would be to work on progressing to flying in idle up mode to keep a constant speed to your rotor. A flat or very shallow throttle curve (100,95,90,95,100) will help make it...
