Okay, it's been about 3+ years since I purchased some Li-Po's for my little Fliton Quiet Storm. And now they are just about shot.

Hey John
If this is true then this is great news! Please keep us posted when and if you find out more, specifically when this Georgia company starts selling Anchor Bond.

RE: Why not eliminate the weight limit?

2000+ flights!! I seriously doubt that! Think about it....if you flew that plane EVERY weekend (both Sat and Sun) for a full 5 years you would have to put an average of about 4 flights per day (Sat...

RE: Impact

Jim,
You are absolutely right about the Robart hinge installation...I think you will be very happy with your improved setup. You stated earlier that your rudder was 66 grams, I'm curious what...

RE: Impact

Jim,
Another way that I have found a bit easier is to use a woodworkers caliper and adjust it to match the rudder horn hole-to-hole distance. Slide this up the rear fuse until it touches. To get...

RE: Impact

Andy,
It is built-up (see pic below). As Matt and others have said/shown you should be able to get them to come out around 30-40 grams if you are careful. I wasn't too worried about getting...

RE: Impact

Peter,
Check your scale again. If you have a stock rudder at 52 grams then you are the exception. I have weighed three Impact rudders right out of the box (i.e no horn, no hinges) just unwrap...

RE: Impact

Andy,
Ditch the stock rudder! It is way too heavy and the hinging is awkward. Building up a balsa one is far easier than you think...I put one together in about an hour and it came in at...

RE: Sanding / filling tricks

Tom,
I also use the lightweight spackle (Red Devil brand), but I use it as a balsa filler for flight models.....it's too good to use for plugs. Also, it can be a bit expensive to use a bunch of...
