RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

It is a little tricky. I actually ended up making my own horn to get it to work the best. Or use the round horn and drill your own holes. Another thing that helped was springs in between the front...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

I ran the 15/40 with the close ratio and i barely ever hit wide open. I usually only run on a trck though. I just really think anything over 40 in this truck is just too fast. it isnt stable enough...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

I think they are putting the 2.4ghz radio with it too.

On the 40tooth spur, I ran mine with a 15 tooth clutch bell. And I had room to go to a 16 at least. Steve Slayens uses a 40/15 combo too.

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

A receiver pack is a rechargeable battery pack that goes in place of the 4 AA batteries. It is a 6v pack rather than 4.8v that the 4 AAs puts out, so your servos are faster. You will need a new on...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

I had a lot of problems with that happening. take it out and and clean it in some rubbing alcohol then put a little wd-40 on it. If that doesnt work you will have to get a new one.

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

I think 2 servos is overkill. Most guys running revos dont even use 2. I would get a Hitec MG-5645 or or a MG-645 is cheaper and a little less precise and not digital. it will probably the last servo...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

It sounds like you have my luck. I had 3 different motors get wrecked(2 by other people,1 bearing failure) 2 servos, and the center diff cup exploded and took out my tranny. All that happened in less...

RE: Tekin Q&A Support

I have a SCRT10 and our track is limiting the motors to a 10 turn motor, 2S lipo. Will the the Redline 10.5 turn motor push the truck without overheating? Will the optional Rotors help?

RE: os 18 tz questions

I see there hasnt been much on this for a while, but there is an easier way to do this. No matter what shaft you have in your TZ you can cut it at 1-2 threads off the end. Then you can get part...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

Lately I have been working on a forward mounted throttle servo, I've seen a couple on revos and I think it looks like it works better for the rear brake and throttle to the TZ. I made the mounts out...

RE: o.s. .18 question

No the insides are the same too. The way the block is made the Tm is almost like a 5 port too. If you look inside with the sleeve out they both have the exact same fin right down the middle of the...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

Yes They do fit but i would get one that isnt from a parted out truck as they will already have the holes for the slash mounts. The part number for the unpainted, untrimmed body 6811. There are 2...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

There are a lot of issues that could cause a conrod to break. IF you can tell us how it broke, like were it would help.
You could run to lean and melt the bushing, that would look make the conrod...

RE: o.s. .18 question

I know this is an old thread but I would like to set it straight. The TZ and TM are different in number of ports as stated before, but they can be interchanged. The blocks on the two are identical...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

Carguy... there is a guy on the traxxas forum that asked about revo gearing. I use revo gearing in mine and i run 20/34 gearing for CB/spur gear. That gets me to about 40mph with the close ratio...

RE: OFFICIAL TRAXXAS SLAYER OWNERS THREAD

I did a couple 3.3s myself and had a couple done by professionals. It does really wake up that motor. You got to be pretty careful with the sleeve, make sure you dont cut to deep or heat it up to...
