RE: Moki 210 Vs OS BGX 35cc

I have 2 friends who have BGXs and they both run well. But my Moki leaves them for dead power wise.
I now have my Moki on a MACs quiet pipe and wow! It's now swinging an APC 22x8 at 7200rpm.

Well I ran a little over 2 24oz tanks through my Moki with the Pitts muffler. No complaints and very happy.
I now have it on a MACs quiet pipe and wow! It's now swinging an APC 22x8 at 7200rpm.

We will rebalance it and push the CG back to around 10mm back from the yellow stripe and give that a try.
If anyone else can post their CG location it would be...

RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

Thanks Bosshossv8

I did get some video but it was just two shake down flights. Running the Moki on straight fuel with no nitro does keep the running costs down. I'm very comfortable with nitro...

RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

Hi All,

I just thought I would let you know that today we had our first test flight. And I would say it's the first down here in New Zealand.
All went well apart from a little ballooning when...

RE: Shogun 400 tail shaft problem

I've only had your problem once and that was when I had a too tight gear mesh to try and use a partly worn gear.
Take your time getting the mesh right when you replace the bits. And keep some...

Hi Wayne

Thanks for the info and inspiration.
I'm looking at doing something similar but keeping with the shaft drive and beveled gears, since I've had no problems with them.

I have a...

RE: Fliton Jumping Jack for Pattern

Well at long long long last I test flew my Jumping Jack.
The plane its self flew very well and with a bit more setting up and trimming it will be a very nice park fly pattern ship.
The motor...

RE: Fliton Jumping Jack for Pattern

Hi Boo

It's just the Tamiya Color Spray Lacquer for Polycarbonate PS-37 Frost Red.
I also used the PS-31 Smoke for the canopy.
The trick is to just mist it on very lightly for multiple coats...

RE: Fliton Jumping Jack for Pattern

Just an update. It’s almost ready to go apart from taping the turtle deck and cowl in place and putting the decals on.
I’ve replaced the APC 9x6E with a APC 9x7.5E purely because it clears the...

RE: Fliton Jumping Jack for Pattern

AUW = 23.5 oz, a little over the 20 oz others have got.

However the wing area is around 2 sq foot so you get a wing loading of approx...

RE: Would 3D-Glasses work with AFP and Reflex XRT?

RE: Would 3D-Glasses work with AFP and Reflex XRT?

There are two ways to do this that I know of.
One it to pay the extra and get top quality projector that has a very fast refresh rate. In fact you need a fast refresh rate just to keep the sim...

RE: Would 3D-Glasses work with AFP and Reflex XRT?

Yes a projector is definitely a great way to go. It really helps when the model is flying further away. It also makes it a real fun club activity and you’re not all crammed around a small screen.

RE: Chinese Dragonfly tale of woe?

It could also be the servo that has gone bad.
Unplug the suspect channel and plug one of the other servos or even a spare if you have one handy into it. If another servo does the same thing then...

RE: Extreme Flight RC New 3D weapons!!!

seanychen - They have been designed and tested with 1.40 and 1.60 sized 2 strokes engines. So I don't think a YS-110 will cut the mustard. They are full sized 2 x 2 meter planes.
Cheers
