You may want to look at the new 212 kit. It builds very fast and is complete down to the decals. It is very fast in the water and turns on a dime.

Try using a flat black or weathered black paint such a Floquil railroad colors. If it is not available in your country, i'm sure that a paint is available that will work.
I have even used 600 grit...

Go to Big Daves wtc's or Caswell plating. Both have what you need. Daves is a RCAB system, Merrimans is gas.

The Pegasus is a Graupner kit. I had one years ago. It is a vaccum formed abs kit.
I have a Time kit waiting to be built. Seems that the new run of kits from Dumas have abs hulls instead of glass....

Make sure your esc can handle 40amps. Also, they should have reverse. You may look into sealed batteries for your motors. I plan on using two of these in my Pegasus.

You need a 600 size BL motor say a Phasor 30-3 direct with a 9-7 and 10 cells for great performance. This plane is close to the Estreak and this is my setup. And yes, I have two Estreet kits waiting...

Diode on motors

The silver band on the diode goes to the + positive terminal. Rember to SOLDER all connestions.

With the AF you need 3 caps. One between the motor terminals and one from each terminal,-+, to the motor case. ALSO, with the Castle esc, there is a Shottky diode that goes between the motor...

You also need to know if is a F.A.I. wind motor. The regular 40 is good to about 24 cells. The FAI is around 10 cells, if memory serves me! Look up astro flight or Leasure Electronics for references....

You might want to try the speed 300 motors before you go BL. Speed with this plane might not be what you want. There is one for sale at my LHS because it is soooo slooow!!!

I love my Eclipse! Took out the sp 600 and put a 17 turn with a 3.8/1
inline gearbox with a 11-7 folder. Flys great!

Quality replacement for GWS "A" motor?

You may want to try a 50 ducted fn motor from GWS. This "hybrid" is faster but does not last as long. For the money, buy several extra motors and have some fun!
