Moki 2.10

I agree. Although I have no way to measure static thrust, I'm sure I'm not getting 25 lb. According to Gerard's information, the engine should be proped to run at 7000-8500 rpm on the ground. Does...

Moki 2.10

I fly a Lanier 80" Cap 232. I'd guess it weighs 16+ pounds. The Bambula 20 X 8 noticeably increases the vertical up-line pull, but I won't try to hover - not enough excess thrust for that. It will...

Moki 2.10

Guys, I tried a Bambula 20 X 8. Compared with my Mejzlik 20 X 10, I have much better down-line braking (much better) and vertical up-lines are much stronger. On the ground I got 7020 rpm. The temp...

Moki 2.10

RH, Thanks for the information. Everything was set up correctly before I installed the pump - large ID tubing from large ID clunk to carb and the tank was positioned correctly. The engine used to...

Moki 2.10

Has any one tried a larger diameter prop? I'm using a Mejzlik 20 x 10 on my Moki and it turns about 7500 at sea level with no nitro. The plane flies okay, but I want more thrust and down-line...

FMA LiPoly Rx Packs?

Thanks for the reply. I'll be using it strictly as a receiver pack - the Funtana will have a Saito 80. I have a charger from Japan called the "Swallow". It can charge LiIon, so I'm guessing it can...

FMA LiPoly Rx Packs?

I'm thinking of getting the 1020 pack w/ regulator. Does anybody have experience with this setup? I'd like to put it in a Funtana with 4 HS-5475HB digitals. See the link below.

Moki 2.10 Hanging Idle Problem.................

I'm no expert, but it sounds very much like a lean idle setting. I've been flying a Moki 2.10 for a little over a year and I find that my idle adjustments must be very small (VERY) - the adjuster is...

Moki 2.10 & GP. pitts anyone have that combo

Flyin',
I, too, have this combination. But, I haven't even started assembling the plane. With such a lightweight engine, I'm concerned about balance . I plan on making the rudder pull-pull...

Need Moki 2.10 prop recommendations

John,
Left-click on the link I sent. I just tried, and it worked.
My "regular" Zinger 20X10 produced too much drag in the static ground test and didn't allow the engine to run fast...

Moki 2.10 ????

hobbsy,
The Moki radial engine mount would work just fine on the Lanier CAP - there's plenty of room on the front of the engine box. It won't, however, work on my new GP 1/3 Pitts!....my new...

Moki 2.1 Prop Size?

I use a Mejzlik 20X10 with my Moki 2.10 in an 80" CAP 232. It flies great, but I might try some different props - possibly larger diameter with shallower pitch.

Moki 2.10 ????

LF,
I have a Moki 2.10 on my 80" Lanier CAP 232. I haven't gotten it completely figured out yet, but I love it. In fact, I bought one for my new GP 1/3 Pitts, too! If you get one, learn from...

Moki 2.1 engine mount for GP 1/3 Pitts

Any advice? Any recommendations? I bought the special Moki backplate mount, but it's way too big for the engine box - one of the three mounting bolts hits nothing but air.

Moki 1.35 in H-9 CAP 73"?

I have a Moki 2.10 in a Lanier 80" CAP 232 with a Mejzlik 20X10 carbon prop. The plane weighs about 17 lb. dry and I live at sea level. The plane flies great. But, it's not enough power to do 3-D...

G.p.pitts / G-62 First Flights

Hi guys,
I just bought a GP Pitts w/o the update at a great price (I know about the bulletin, thanks) and a Moki 2.10 (one-room apartment and don't want to risk the gasoline issue). If you...
