RE: Help me identify this?

I'd say it's low. I don't thing it'll raise high enough for the prop to be just below the surface. I'd raise it maybe 1/4" and run it from there.

RE: nitro fuel question

Hmmm... maybe I'll pick up a few gallons of Omega and a gallon or two of promix. If I decide I like promix, I could always sell the omega for the same if not more than the $14 I'll be paying for it...

RE: The unofficial Home of all that is Nitro Vee...

:O just went out to clean my hull and noticed something. There is a huge gaping hole on the top of my fuel tank. [X(] This is so not cool. Oh well... One more thing to fiberglass (my specialty).

RE: nitro fuel question

I've actually been looking at the Wildcat fuels but could never find much about it, hence I've always stuck with Omega. Well, that and Wildcat fuels cost an etra $6-$8 more than Omega per gallon at...

RE: The unofficial Home of all that is Nitro Vee...

Well, like I've said in other threads, I usually like to tinker with these rather than run them. I'm just wondering how far I can get this boat in terms of its potential. My goal: to meet or exceed...

RE: Building a 7'6" Crackerbox

The engine looks to be in pretty good shape. And the best part of all: It says made in Japan! And is that an electric start? It looks like an electric start gear on the front, left of the engine...

RE: The unofficial Home of all that is Nitro Vee...

Hey guys. I've owned my NV for a few years and have done most of the mods you guys have here. I'm wondering though, has anyone actually tried to crack open their hull? like seperate the inner and...

RE: nitro fuel question

Omega. The finest in my opinion. Feel free to object. :D

I actually haven't been paying attention. I run 25% Omega fuel. Not 20%. sorry.

RE: WOW. Miss Vegas, Target, $500.

I don't know exactly what the shipping charges are, but last year I ordered a macs 2.5 for my nitrovee (lhs ran out) as well as the gasket set for it, and shipping alone cost me $40 The thing weighed...

RE: flywheel

Well, a lighter one will give you better acceleration and hole shot. But that's only good if you're on a tiny pond, or if you're running tighter circuits where throttling is necessary. If it's...

RE: WOW. Miss Vegas, Target, $500.

I'm still checking to see if that review's been posted yet. I wonder if they comb though it before they'll allow anything to be posted. :) Ahh the corruption within big business chains.

EDIT!

RE: nitro fuel question

haha after that last post I guess I can expect a few laughs from the other members. I guess I'm a bit "conservative" when it comes to nitro fuels. I tend to enjoy tinkering and building rather than...

RE: nitro fuel question

My lhs here in toronto still sells 20% nitro for $14 a gallon. PLUS if you pay in cash, he skimps on the tax. Just don't tell the govmt that :) I think he mentioned he's raising them once existing...

RE: nitro fuel question

Seems just about every kind of fuel is getting more expensive now-a-days. I swear there's a conspiracy! But one thing remains true... my 20% runs reliably and I bet I can get 2 gallons of mine for a...

RE: 1/12 hydro tear down

Yea the macs 2.5 is awesome as is, but there's always potential for more. You just gotta cut a little bit off the end at a time till you get to the sweet spot. Boy, do you KNOW when it's there.
I...

RE: What engine should i put in my boat?

I never knew they had a .18 turbo too. After looking around, I found it for $180 on towerhobbies with a rotary carb, $150 with sliding. Plus, they're offering either a $10 merchandise rebate or a $5...

RE: What engine should i put in my boat?

O.S. makes some great engines. My personal favorite is the .18CV-RM. that should be plenty power. If you want something even more, albeit a little less uncontrollable, you could always dish out a...

RE: re-painting my boat

Keep in mind though misshydro, that those prices are canadian dollars. I would guess the price for the same thing in USD would be somewhere around $140-150. Even though the currency is close, most...
