I first started using it straight and later switched to 50% ethylene glycol and 50% water. The 50/50 mix seemed to work just as well. MJD, you should be able to find the green (ethylene glycol)...

It sounds like it is flying normal for the CG at 5". I think ChuckW's suggestion of expo is dead on. The Twist normally is pretty twitchy and takes some getting used to if this is your first plane...
