RE: radian

Just an addition to aeajr's post. Once all wires are connected and before you fly again, confirm that the prop is spinning in the correct direction. (airflow from the prop moving air iowards the...

Good supply and good service here:

I have used mostly MP Jet spinner sets and matching Graupner blades.

RE: Help me pick out a camera

What is your camera budget? Used or new?

Do you want digital point-and-shoot or do you want to transmit to ground live?

RE: Great Planes Fling Sailplane 2M ARF???

Are you planning to fly your Fling 2M off a slope?

If not, you are going to need a highstart to launch it on the "flat land".

RE: help with easystar build

You definitely need a receiver to test the throttle of the plane - as stated above.

I have never tried hooking the battery up to an ESC W/O a receiver and I'm not sure what would happen or why...

RE: fling 2M

What does your Fling weigh RTF with the 920 pack?

About how many climb-outs do you get with that pack?

Thanks,

RE: Brushless Spd Cntrl or Motor Problem Troubleshooting Help

Well it sounds to me like the LVC (low voltage cutoff) is cutting in. Essentially the battery voltage is sagging under load and when it's low enough the LVC stops it. While not running, the voltage...

RE: Slow Stick EPS-300C with 11.1 volt lipo?

It's amps that eat up brushes... not applied volts. If you gear and prop that 350 for it's recommended amps it should run and last fine. I suspect it will require high gearing and a small prop to hit...

RE: Where and what to buy....

Not into cars, so I can't begin to estimate how many amps you will be asking your ESC to deal with.
That's really the first parameter one needs to know - max amps.

Some how a Hacker C40 and...

RE: Lithium or brushless?

Interesting problem!

I went Lipo before going brushless. My problem with my SS was flight time... not performance. (Or so I thought at the time.) I ran an EPS 400C with H(5.28:1) gearing and I...

RE: Mega 16/15/4 question

Motocalc is showing 20+ amps and 20 oz. of thrust.

Best to use a meter to determine the amps.

RE: Thunder Tiger "Sparky": first day out!

I have neither the plane nor the instructions with me at the moment, but at the rear of the spar should be a good starting point as I recall.

RE: Super stick like SS?

Try adding an aluminum or carbon arrowshaft epoxy glued inside your SS fuse, really adds strength w/o much weight penalty.

3/8" x 3/8" balsa stick in the fuse helps some also.

RE: Ive blown 2 motors HELP

I just ran your setup - 27/13/3, 5x5 prop and 3S2P through MotoCalc and it says 32 amps static. Not sure how you measured 18 amps, but 32amps on that motor will make it very hot... especially a 15...

RE: Sparky 400: tips/tricks

I thought since this thread has come alive that I would post an update.

I finished my Sparky a few months ago and it is really a great plane. I did go with the Mega 16/15/6 DD with an APC 8x4...

RE: Thunder Tiger "Sparky": first day out!

My Sparky is flying quite well. I am running a Mega 16/15/6 DD, an 8x4 prop, and a 3S TP 2100 Lipo battery pack.

Washout puts the TE of the wing higher than the LE in the outer panel of the...

RE: Hacker gearbox repair question

Are you saying the brass end with the mounting screw holes came off the black metal sleeve? Don't think that is repairable, but I haven't ever seen what holds it on.

Some of them have the gear...
