yes the bearing has a seal in it. here is a pic of the boat it is going on and a pic of the progress of the box.

The shaft will run to the back of the boat and the swing arm will be attached to the end. I will post more pics.

Ill placed boat + a old water oak = bad day.
if the boat was back another foot it would have been toast. It is not as bad as it looks, it can be fixed.
