RE: Curare construction ARG

Hi Diego,

Now that you have JB Weld, it would be interesting to see whetheror not it is nearly the same as traditional argentine grey PoxiPol as I suspect.

Maybe you can carry out some...

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

Congratulations Diego!

That landing looked a bit hot. How does your idea of mixing up trim in with the gear down switch to set the approach speed work?

Keep us updated with your fine...

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

Hi Chino,

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

I have just enjoyed a few hours at Chino's flat seeing his work first hand and picking up and studying his Tiporare and Curare (see thread elsewhere on this forum). I am currently over in Argentina...

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

Chino,

Nice work, however I think that by putting the aileron servo box where you did you cut a hole in the stress highpoint of the wing severely weakening it. If I were you I would put in full...

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

Chino,

If you wish to make your canopy removable, I have been using magnets with great success. I got 50 for £4 ($6) off eBay. They are Neodymium Disc Magnets 6x3 mm and they are great - very...

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

Chino,

Plasticola is what is known in the English speaking world as PVA or white glue. I wouldn't use this for it will take a chunk out of one of the pieces tacked with it when you try to...

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

David,

I tried your "shoe shine" technique today on the wingtips of a 60" x 60" pattern plane I am building and it worked a treat.

I got most of the shaping done with the razor plane and...

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

Jim,

So do I, but I am always willing to try something new. I'll start on a discardable tailplane.

Great idea David. I will also try it on leading edges by using a full sheets of sandpaper.

Kind regards,

RE: Building a Tiporare .40

Hi David,

Re. "che, sos un loco!" that would work too. I can think of a few more, but since Chino doesn't know me my expressions could be perceived as rude rather than complimentary. I am an...

Chino,

Very nice work on the Tiporare and the Curare on the other thread.

RE: Curare construction ARG

Chino,

With reference to JB Weld, I am pretty sure that the traditional grey PoxiPol is pretty much the same thing. It sets in 24 hours and is rock hard.

Kind regards,

Steve,

Even though I am not in the market, I would like to see some pictures anyway. I am sure that I am not alone on this one.

RE: Royal beechcraft 58-P baron

Loosenut,

Whatever power train you end up with, a good rule of thumb is to aim for an aggregate 75 watts per pound input from a partially discharged pack. This should give you "fighter...
