How old is your son? Maybe start him off with some guillow sheet balsa planes and see if hes into it. Those little rubbet plans in a bag tought me lots about trimming a plane.

Made the mistake of buying some P-61 plans from this seller and they were just poor copies of Ziroli plans. I think he uses more than one name as theres other ebay plans sellers that use the same...

Lexan paint on plastic

Lexan paint is designed for the inside of a lexan part, so it has no gloss. I'm sure it might stick, but you would have to clearcoat it to get it to shine.
