I have recently purchased a 'basketcase' OS 61 VRM(?)

Given previous posts I wondered if this is a precursor to the 77 and if so if the piston is of the same style and format...

The epoxy resin I used to water/fuel proof the interior was a very thin laminating epoxy used for skinning wings on model...

Hi there,
Not much difference from the last post but it is now ready to fit the top skins. I have given the insides two coats of epoxy resin which should be more than adequate and the fuel tanks...

I saw the complete engine on ebay - No one, not a one, made a bid. I could not quite believe it as it is obviously one heck of a power plant....

No offence Dan, I'm sure there are , just that most seem to go the exhaust route. At one time some engines came with a nipple to screw into the backplate mounting hole that had been drilled right...

I have removed the bearings which appeared at first to be okay but I'm glad I did as there was a considerable build up of crud behind them. I can get replacements...
