For anyone interested: I went through a few engines on this one but ended up with a sidewinder ASP .91 four stroke turning an APC 15x4. A really nice combination. I still have it but haven't flown it...

RE: Extra 260 27% Hangar 9er

It's traditional to include the fuselage area between the wings in the calculation too.

If you did that already then I'm baffled too!

RE: ITALIAN TOC

So what happened? Did the event take place? Was it a success?

I haven't heard anything about it and just wondered.

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

Mine's 6 1/4 lbs with a Saito 100. I use only one elevator servo - I made a staple to join the elevator halves - and a standard size 4 cell 2000mah NiMH. It has no repairs and no additions.

RE: i need pro help with my funtana 40

I flew mine for two seasons on Futaba 3001 (148 with a ball raced output) with no problems. Engine was a 91 four stroke on a 15x4. The aileron servo's did get slow eventually, but i think this is...

RE: Extra 260 27% Hangar 9er

Let us know how she goes - especially in the hover!

Been thinking of dumping the Moki 1.80 and replacing it with a Saito 220 myself (noise issues at our field plus I love Saito's) and would be...

RE: Extra 260 27% Hangar 9er

Anyone use a Saito 220 in this? I have a Moki 1.80 in mine but am thinking about the Saito 220.

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

I used an ASP 91FS in a Ripmax Extreme and Funtana 40s. I used APC 15x4 which pulls great. Both those models are on the 6 pounds mark. A Master 14x6 is almost as good and about a fifth of the price...

RE: Recommendations for a plane for Moki 1.8?

Thanks for the reply Gus.

I'm using a Cline reg', standard Pitts style Bisson muffler and Mezjlik 20x6 carbon prop on my 1.80 powered H9 260. Not run it yet but have high hopes for when I do! ;)...

RE: Ripmax Xtreme lite

A few of us have already trodden this path, take a look at what I had to do to mine:

Xtreme

The Xtreme Lite will probably be a good bit lighter than the kit built version so your 61 may...

RE: Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle Who's Got One?

C.Kempy, you're not alone. I too have the crapola hardware. Just not good enough on a model in this price range IMO. I couldn't believe how bad it was when I inspected the box contents. A decent...

RE: Extra 260 27% Hangar 9er

I'm fitting a Moki 1.80 too with Bisson Pitts muffler. I made a backplate mount and stand off's for the motor. If this doesn't have enough go I have a tuned pipe that could maybe go inside the fuz....

RE: Extra 260 27% Hangar 9er

A tuned pipe should make quite a difference. They say mini-pipes are worth 10%, though I haven't had a mini myself, so flat disc and cone pipes should generate more. Not that you'd want a coned pipe...

RE: super tiger 3250

I have a ST3000 (3250 is an overbored 3000) on a Bisson Pitts style muffler in a 14 1/2 pound CAP and it'll hover it no problem, BUT, I had to go over to a Perry carb to cure the rich midrange...

RE: Funtana 90 question

I had a TT61 and 13x4 and 14x4 in a F40 but it wasn't a great success. Pull out from hover was not strong. A good flat disc tuned pipe would probably make it a good set-up or maybe a mini-pipe. It'll...

RE: World Models Funtanas 50cc, anyone?

If the wing area and weight figures are right that thing is waaay too heavy. Shame I'd really like one.
