RE: Earthquake 8e Shocks causing gear problem?

Can you check that the gears are meshing cleanly? A piece of paper is a good gauge for the gears being the right distance apart.

RE: Is this buggy any good?

I think the discussion should be qualified on a per-dollar basis. Can you compare a BMW to a chevy on equal terms?
Are you getting double the value for a $600 1:8 compared the redcat backdraft 8e,...

how long are you getting them to run? A few tanks, or immediatly?

Has the compression changed on your engine? Are they cold or hot?

RE: high idle needed to keep running

Yes, low idle, and it dies. It wants to run at an idle that is equal to rolling @ 5-10 mph. Wheels dont have to be spinning however, I can get it to start by pointing it into a tree or something...

RE: high idle needed to keep running

RE: high idle needed to keep running

I am also thinking the problem might be my clutch spring. Which I know, is an entirely different thing. It might be that it is not as tight as it once was, and although it is working fine @ high...

high idle needed to keep running

Is the LSN too rich if I need to keep the idle high to keep the engine running? I have tinkered with the needle settings some, but cannot get it right. The engine either wants to race, or die.

RE: Is it normal for these engines to be difficult until up to temp?

I have a similar problem in that I need to run my new engine (under a gallon) with a high idle, or it conks out. does that mean it is too rich? It is actually spitting out some fuel from the tank...

HPI MT2 Clutch spring size

Can anyone tell me the size, or replacement number to just get the springs for the MT2? The springs keep breaking on me, and I would prefer to just pay for new springs not the full clutch kit ($11)....
