RE: Tank Reference Books

It looks like he's removed them or (hopefully) he's reorganizing them. That page layout doesn't look like it used to so maybe it's just being updated. It'll be a shame if he's taken all the images...

RE: Research difficulties -sPzAbt. 505

Thanks for the two photographs, Oz. The one I found is a slightly different angle than this one you posted. Your's has better resolution but it looks like the scan lines may have obscured if there...

RE: Research difficulties -sPzAbt. 505

Rare in that there aren't more than a few pictures of the 505 from early 1944 showing the symbol, I'd agree. However, several sources indicate the Knight-on-charger symbol was chosen in early '44 but...

Research difficulties -sPzAbt. 505

Since I got my HL Tiger 1 about two months ago, I've been thinking about how I'm going to paint her up and which unit and tank I want her to represent. I've currently decided on making her a tank...

Other sources for fixed HL Tiger 1 mantle and barrel?

I see that MatoMart sells a corrected mantle and proper length barrel combo for the HL Tiger 1:

It addresses two issues I need to tackle on my Tiger...

Asiatam Tiger support brace + track tensioners?

I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to ask this but came up empty on a search so I apologize if I'm repeating other posts.

Are there any modifications needed to the Asiatam support braces for the...

RE: YOUR AGE, WHAT TANKS YOU OWN, AND....

I've posted some up till now but have largely been a lurker without any armor. Finally remedied that so I guess it's time to follow everyone's lead here too:

1. Real name: Joel, age 35, screen...

RE: Tank Reference Books

This isn't a book, but as they say about pictures..... for me this site is a gold mine of photos that cover a broad spectrum of armor.

RE: HL Charging questions

Thanks for the confirmation on methods Nitro.

I do recall about heat which is why I'd prefer to use a peak charger to squeeze the most out of the pack without overcharging.

The pack I have...

HL Charging questions

I've received my first HL Tiger 1 fresh from "Requisitions", and it's taking my home and place of work by storm.

However, I've got a question on charging the battery pack.

I'm coming into...

RE: Unit Insignia

That's a great idea from a fun/great game - but something that comes to mind for any suggestions that are from other commercial work(s) if this is to be put on the cover a book to be sold for profit...

RE: VsTank R Micro RC Tanks

I've got two of these little guys myself. The only times I've had trouble really was when tracks slip on the sprockets. Usually hair or dust or 'gunk' buildup. In my case the solution was to replace...

RE: What other RC do you guys run?

I'm still 'new' with my ordered HL Tiger 1 on the way, but I cut my teeth in the late 80's/early 90's on Tamiya buggies and trucks. Everything I still have is massively old school compared to what's...

RE: RC Tank Clubs

A.T.U.,

Thanks for the heads up. It's a little farther than my personal 'combat range' would probably allow on any regular basis but it's good to know of it's existence.

I'm hoping to find...

Newcomer to the forums and the hobby echoing the question are there any clubs in the Central Ohio region yet? If not are there any other tankers interested in trying to get one started?
