I have the JR8103 heli,which I use in the plane mode.
I would like to be able to use the 3 position switch (landing mode switch) to control the AUX3 channel

Well the season is just about to start and so is my mvvs.
I've modify the engine head and I hope to keep the engine running in 180 -190F.

Black goop is definitely a temperature issue.Originally this engine was design for glow fuel therefore it has less cooling fins that our gas engines that were design for it right from the beginning....

Dirtnapper do you get the black residue coming from exhaust when you run this engine on Mobil? (Specially at those high temperatures.)

What fuel/oil mixture are you running to keep the engine at 200f ?
I can't get the temp.to stay lower than 240f. and I'm using synthetic oil with 91 octane gas.

I got the 1.6 MVVS running for some time now in a heli.There were few issues with it at first but now there is only one left - this black oil residue coming out of the exhaust.
I like the engine...

Can someone please measure for me:
-the head diameter
-distance from front mounting hole to the front of the engine (not shaft),with and w/o the drive hub.
-I assume the hub is 10mm, please...
