been there and did that with all the sealing tricks, increased fuel line and filter, ect, it did run great but liked running at 260-270 best, and had a short life span

I run the steel spur gears, I worry about how hot the clutch bell gets at times meshing with the plastic along with not having to be quite so precise with mesh.

The RT-X27 used 17mm hex and most of the truggy wheels fit right on, the warhead and evo used 14mm hex, I think the traxxas and savage 25 used 14mm hex

you could always reglue them or any 3.8" monster truck or truggy tires will fit on your rims, just clean or sand the bead area well

and do not forget to pull the screws from the ring gear and red loctite them or replace them, they take such a tiny allen wrench I switched them out for philips

ps HPI 4.6 takes very little mods to the engine mount only, runs great

I still enjoy mine, very occasionally, (too busy with the stuff I race) I try and taunt other racers with savages and traxxas's but they just do not show up to race, guess they are scared

I believe it was 5mmx8mmx4mm bearings you can use to replace the needle bearing but do not quote my on that, measure the shaft and clutch ID where the bearing rides and you should be able to get...

Hey Dan as far as lipo batteries go, get the most mah and C rating that your wallet can afford in a quality battery that will fit in the bike, mah=run time and C=torque
