If you are really worried about added weight, you could use deployed air bags from cars... this is what I use and the weave is tighter(and wont show through with less coats) and is much lighter and...

Well I ended up running out of glue... did'nt see that coming. Got plenty now and finished the fuse and upper wing last night. should have the bottom wing done today and the tailfeathers done tonight...

from my memory when i built my ss.... that is the way to install the landing gear blocks. Just make sure when you drill through the long block to be straight with the smaller block and centered where...

I channeled a piece of light burch to house the rod and have a hook in the back that is secured in a channel cut in light ply... crude but effective.

I have actually installed the fbf... just goin to post a few more picts and hope you can see a little better at to how I did the hatch latch. I have limited room inside the fuse but have no problem...

The gp cub i built had no problems with handling my rough landings, but i did use oak instead of the landing gear braces that were in the kit... it went together good, looked good and flew good. Easy...

The best trainer is what ever you have on hand and dont feel bad about bashing it about... its a trainer. For sure you will want to hang onto it, but usually the cheaper the better. I got my falcon...
