RE: Anyone willing to help me with some basic glow engine info???

Thanks Dan, I will continue trying the 'bay. A few days ago, there were a few Enya 50cx mufflers listed, but no engines.

Anyone willing to help me with some basic glow engine info???

Guys, I've been out if the hobby for a while, and I mostly flew 1/4 and 1/3rd scale gassers back when I was flying. In short, I've recently come across a box of various glow engines that a family...

RE: Can anyone source this tailwheel part???

Pat,
Yes, you are correct, HOWEVER MOST of those sold in electrical stores/etc are NOT 3/16", but rather 1/4".

NitroWing, YES! That is exactly what I was looking for, although I would...

Can anyone source this tailwheel part???

Hey guys,
I have encountered a situation where I need some of those little plastic tailwheel "hold down clamps", in a 3/16" size.
Can anyone here tell me WHERE I can find these little plastic...

RE: Aeroworks 96" Extra 260 ARF QB Assembly

Speaking of tailwheel assemblies, can anyone here tell me WHERE I can find those plastic tailwheel strut "hold down" clamps??? You know, when you buy a haigh style tailwheel, you always get some...

RE: Aeroworks 96" Extra 260 ARF QB Assembly

I think the AW's C/F tailwheel assembly will be lighter than the stock aluminum tailwheel assembly, but DO NOT buy that Graphtech C/F tailwheel assembly. I'm almost sure that it is HEAVIER than most...

RE: Aeroworks 96" Extra 260 ARF QB Assembly

Hey mflander,
I'm not sure if you've mentioned this before in this thread or not, but WHAT exact A123 packs did you use? SinCity packs, or Fromeco or A123?? More importantly, what size packs...

RE: Aeroworks 96" Extra 260 ARF QB Assembly

I would have to disagree with smarks on one point here. He says the push-pull rudder servo in the tail is easier to setup than pull-pull up front.
I think EITHER is SUPER easy, and that is...

RE: Is there a servo tray for a mini digital servo????

No problem, I gotcha.
However, I do not have to build a mount to accomodate the tray. The beauty of this setup, is that IF I had a plastic servo mount EXACTLY LIKE the ones in the link (only with...

Is there a servo tray for a mini digital servo????

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the JR servo trays, which are many times used in the wings of aircraft, for the aileron servos. These JR trays mount the servo on it's side, and are made of...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

Man how I cannot wait for the 10C to come out. Keep the info coming guys. Can anyone here tell me which 10 channel Rx I will want to use with the Futaba 10C for my Giant Scale planes?
I know...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

How can I get a spring loaded switch installed on the 9303? Also, will I be able to put it up on the TOP LEFT, where the usual spring loaded trainer switch is installed on a Futaba 9C/etc?
IF...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

I can see how some would prefer not having a digital trim, but as for NO throttle kill function without programming a mix, that just hits me right where it hurts...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

Yes, I agree, I would NOT even consider using an analog trim to kill my engine. Screw that.
I'm disliking the JR more and more. You have to actually use a MIX to design a thr kill? Good Lord....

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

I agree with your thoughts, and have had the same myself, but I do feel Futaba has worked their issues out, and they are having people ship their 2.4 equiptment back to get checked out and updated if...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

ljones5000,
Well that all depends on HOW MANY channels you need, and that depends on what type of airplane, and what SIZE airplane you are flying?
I fly giant scale planes, 33% and larger, so...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

Sweet, thanks guys.
I do remember using the trainer "spring tension" switch for the THR kill on my old 9C as well, and that is how I always want to be able to keep it.
I assume this MAY NOT...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

Well here are a couple more questions I have:

1. What is this "servo grouping", and how does it work? Is it basically a function where you tell the Tx to match multiple servos together, THUS...

RE: transission to 2.4 Ghz

Hey khodges,
I don't see how this situation of the low voltage dropout causing the Rx to go into failsafe could EVER be a problem for Giant Scale guys? I mean, we ALL use Lithium Ion or A123...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

Dang guys,
I too was really hoping the Futaba 10C would be 2048. Hell, I would have really thought it would be.
Anyhow, wouldn't a 2048 Tx be very well suited for the new Hitec 7955's, which...

RE: transission to 2.4 Ghz

Ok guys,
Well what is up with those Spektrum? or JR? "AR9100" Rx's??? I saw a pic of one that had two funky looking "heavy duty" leads coming off of it, which almost looked like some heavy duty...

RE: Futabas new 2.4 10C and JR's 2.4 9303

Gotcha,
Man I don't really see the "model match" feature as any real benefit. Waste of time IMO.
I don't care how many planes you have, if you try to fly your plane with the wrong model...
