my plan was to always recover mine, hence the colour scheme of the glider tug that tows me up in full size gliders. It really turns heads when i fly it at the gliding club

I will think you will find that the N233MA registration belongs to a C130 Hercules and as for the colour scheme, i have searched high and low and have not found a matching full size Pawnee colour...

The tubing works like a shock absorber and prevents damage to the cowl thru the vibration as that is a common place for cowls to crack around the mounting holes.
