RE: HiTec 7955 servo in elect buggy

I'm running a 7955TG in my savage flux. It is amazing. Bought it new from someone on a forum for around 2/3 price I think. I'd be too cheap to buy one retail.

RE: Savage Flux HP : Shocks wont fully rebound?

You don't want your shocks to be fully extended all the time.....they should extend fully only when in the air.
Same thing on your real car, are your shocks fully extended when sitting in the...

RE: 3.8 Hard Compund Tires for Bashing

badlands are fantastic! They suffer a little on road, decent grip but accelerated wear. Off road I absolutely love them. On groomed grass you can almost cut lines down to the dirt with them. Think of...

RE: my new truggy

TX setup is neat. I run a 3S lipo in my TX too. I'm tempted to do that balance mod too...but I only have to charger the dang lipo once every 4-6 months... Don't think it's worth it to me.

RE: CRT .5 battery tray options.

I used the SCRT10 tray as well. Not too hard to drill the holes and counter sink them.

RE: Ofna Jammin CRT.5 Electric Conversion - what do I need?

What is this fancy "vice" tool?! I just held it with my knees while I drilled the chassis...haha

RE: Narrowing molded foams

Glueing foam back together might be tricky, CA glue might work, or shoe goo. I would stay away from hot glue since it isn't very flexible. You might not even need to glue them if they are a snug...

RE: Ofna Jammin CRT.5 Electric Conversion - what do I need?

used a cheap underpowered black and decker hand drill here. I did buy a counter sink bit though, didn't have a plain larger bit to counter sink with at the time. It was easy enough.

RE: Series Charging

ugh, those hobbyking adapters are a short waiting to happen. I guess it depends on if they wired them correctly or not, but still, I would not trust them unless you are VERY careful about matching up...

RE: Ofna Jammin CRT.5 Electric Conversion - what do I need?

Can't comment on the Mini STe.

I do know however, that on any kind of gravel with the stock wheels I rocks rocks stuck between the wheels and axle carrier all the time. It locks the wheel and I...

RE: Ofna Jammin CRT.5 Electric Conversion - what do I need?

Totally agree, I went through 4 plastic knuckles on this thing in one day. Couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. Servo saver felt really nice, but the knuckles would bust on even small...

RE: Ofna Jammin CRT.5 Electric Conversion - what do I need?

I did it about the same as Syco, Just looked at the jammin SCT manual and got part number for stuff I wanted. Had to drill and counter sink holes for the battery tray in the chassis, but that's not...

RE: Smoking mamba monster ESC

Smoking between 2 wires and it still works? Or is smoked and doesn't work anymore?
IF it still works, I might venture a guess that your water proofing conducting electricity between the 2 contacts....

RE: Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think so. For one, the fan will probably be running off of the BEC, so it will have a constant ~5V (like the receiver/servo).
Also, if your ESC depends on a fan to prevent over heating...

RE: Tracks in Butte, MT, USA

Hey volvoartictech,
I'm not sure what's been going on with the track in Butte. I graduated in 2011 and haven't been back since. I know that club sort of dissolved for awhile there (maybe it just...

RE: Savage Flux lipo buldge - help

leaving at full charge is hard on lipos. Ideally you want them at 70-75% charge for storage, I usually stick them in the fridge if I won't be using them for a month or longer.
The lipo with the...

RE: Savage FLux 2350 problem

That's a very standard wear out part on the savage, upgrade to the HD (heavy duty) part and you won't have to worry about it for a long time. (Next gear to fail will be your pinion if you keep...

RE: SAVAGE FLUX HP XL WHEEL / TIRE OPTIONS?

love trenchers and badlands.
To save your pinion get a plastic spur. Regardless of my mesh I and my bro would fry pinions occasionally in standard fluxes and 4S. I switched to plastic pinion and...

RE: New HPI 1/8 Gassers

as much as I want one, I will not be purchasing 1st generation...I'll let some of the bugs get worked out first, or at least figured out, before I sink money into one.
