RE: RC Surfer

Looking awesome Jocktime. Can't wait to see it air brushed.

I actually pulled my little guy out of retirement this weekend for 3 separate runs. I hadn't used it since the 11.1v lipo died on me. I...

RE: RC Surfer

Looks good Mook. Let me know how your prop holds up with the extra power. With the battery & motor your using it may be ok, but with my 3S 11.1v lipo & large can 540 motor it blew a blade off after...

RE: RC Surfer

Thanks TechyJoe. The weight distribution isn't really and issue, he seems to come down ok. Everything was fine when I was running the 7.2v battery through it because the speed was nowhere near what...

RE: RC Surfer

Thanks Surfcurls - I definitely never run it into the sand or up the beach. I usually walk out up to my knees in the water and ride the surfer in behind a wave where it's the fullest. It think the...

RE: RC Surfer

Haha...Yep, i'm pretty bummed because it was going so well. I've definately poured enough money into it and Brendon has made him rock solid (i've epoxied his toes and heel to reinforce them). I'll...

RE: RC Surfer

Thanks John. It's just I think the same thing might happen again and it's not cheap for me to get one over here to Australia.<div>

RE: RC Surfer

AAARRRGGGHHHH.....Finally get this thing running how I want, then today it snapped another prop blade, snapped the rudder completely off and due to the shudder from the missing prop blade the epoxy...

RE: RC Surfer

Fastkev -

There is a connection that goes from the Servo (Mechanism that moves the wire connected to your rudder) that connects to the receiver. Make sure this is in securely and is around the...

RE: RC Surfer

TechyJoe -

I think the prop blade snapping is likely due to hitting something in the water like seaweed or possibly the sand when i've brought it into shore and it's still been spinning. There's...

MOOK -

I'm using the Venom Pro Charger. It cost me $150 (Australian dollars) after some hunting around to find the best price.

I can't say enough good things about this charger. I comes with...

Thanks, yeah that yellow little 'bracket' thing that is holding your rudder wire/cable in place that isattached to the side of the board is exactly what i'm after. Without that or...

RE: RC Surfer

TechyJoe -

It would sound more like a battery issue, maybe the current wasn't strong enough to kick the motor over until you gave it more 'throttle'. Plus it sounds like a dodgy battery, what...

RE: RC Surfer

Surfcurls - I'm not sure how Brendon went about sealing in the aerial. It's only a hole big enough for the receiver wire to fit through in the hull, then a larger hole through the deck that the...

RE: RC Surfer

Surfcurls - Brendon did the antenna tube for me. I'm not exactly sure how he's done it, but he has made a tiny hole in the hull (near the batteries for the receiver) and another hole that you can see...

RE: RC Surfer

Thanks John. Brendon knows his stuff that's for sure.

I'll let you know how it goes once the new gear is in it. I'll try to get a short video of it too.
