jrtal, thanks for the info!

Once I put the screwshaft back into place and tested, it seems the issue may be with a sensor which does not seem to shut off after the retract fully extends. It...

I've had RS 333 RB retracts for a few years in my H9 Hellcat and they have been used very little (maybe a dozen flights). Today, I cycled the retracts and one of them just keeps running (motor is...

RE: Electric Retracts From E-flite

Below is from the actual order in 2010. I'm not trying to derail the thread, but shipping was too high in my opinion.

RE: Electric Retracts From E-flite

$20 Priorty Mail + $10 for insurance for two Lado retracts.

Unfortunately for me, both my Lados were geared the same when they arrived(not my fault) and I had to pay to ship one of them back so...

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

It took me a few reads to understand how you approached the reinforcement, but it finally clicked. I went back and looked at my wing and it made sense. So you placed the "U" on the leading side of...

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

One thing to keep in mind, the stock landing gear is 5/32" and the Lado's will use 3/16" music wire. So you will need a new set of RoboStruts if you move to Lado's later as that bushing is permanent...

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

Hello,

Have you seen a picture of the Torque Link facing forward on a Hellcat? To me it looks as if they did not have one on the pictures I've seen...but haven't seen one close up. It would be...

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

I'm probably not doing something right, but I'm having a difficult time getting RS 333 RB Lados to fit into my Hellcat properly. The entire retract assembly is at an angle, sothe rake of the landing...

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

Does anyone have a picture of their Hellcat with theLado\Robart combination in a retracted position? I'd like to see the details of how everything is seated once retracted.

Thanks!

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

Did you use JBWeld or Silver Solder on the bushings? I'm not sure how long it takes to get the bushings into the strut, but didn't want the JB Weld to begin setting up too soon.

Answered my own...

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

To be sure, it is Part #650 (not 615); but the aforementioned Tower Hobbies link will take you to the correct one. Here's Robart's page: http://www.robart.com/RoboStruts/380_Series.aspx. Ihave not...

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

You got it...sold individually.

I'm going to order a pair for my Lado's which should be here mid-week. I'll be doing this for the first time, so I'll let you know how it goes. If Ican get any good...

RE: Electric Retracts From E-flite

No, they haven't advertised any rotating retracts to my knowledge. Moreover, they haven't even had the standard .60 size electronic retracts; I think that is the underlying issue. Hopefully, they...

RE: Electric Retracts From E-flite

Unfortunately, E-flite did not make it to market soon enough for me; I went with the "new" Lado 333RB instead for my Hellcat. Moreover, I never saw any E-flight .60 size retracts in stock at Horizon....

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

Very ironic, I attempted to maiden my Hellcat today, but the crosswinds were just a little too gusty for me. It is nice to hear you had a successful maiden and all is well! I did take some...

Gee, thatseemslike aharsh rhetoric. I read the whole post and it didn't seem like anyone was attacked. Some folks voiced their opinion and said they wouldn't buy them unless...whereas others seemed...

RE: Electric Retracts From E-flite

Thanks for the info thedeeman! It would seem logical for the mfr (Robart in this case) to predrill and provide the adapters as you mention. Perhaps there's not enough demand for that service yet;...

I'm just finishing up an H9 Hellcat and saw this thread. I like what I have seen and read thus far but have a few questions to be sure I understood everything correctly.

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF

Hello all,

Has anyone posted their pics of an eletric setup for the H9 Hellcat? I'm to the point of constructing a battery tray, ESCmount, etc. and thought I'd look for pointers. I've perused this...
