Get it right:
I think you meant to say "2-cell LiFe" not " 3-cell..." 3 times 3.3 is 9.9

It is true that most new 2.4 GHz receivers (Note I said receivers, not servos.) work from a voltage range 4.8-10Volt. And that is pretty much true with all 2.4 GHz brands because they use the same...

Yup. They're still going to need to be able to get that battery in and out for inspection and/or service.
Something to keep in mind.
