Brush less and lipos is for sure the way to go but you will need a lipo charger that will balance the cells and you want to make sure you treat the lipos good, nimh you can do what you like to them,...

it has a pretty decent brushed motor Thank goodness for my youtube i never remembered what it had its a orion 17x2 motor and 17t pinion, it just gets hot as most brushed motors do if you run it long...
