i see too many good videos on youtube go bad because they do not know how to film.
DO use a high quality video camera. a phone will not do.
DO keep the camera still. it could be on a stationary...

i happen to have one and they lowered the price to 7.95 and they get extremely far range. they are of high quality i would say. they are made with actual spektrum components.

if you set the simulator to 120 to 130% speed on difficult settings and can land, it will be easier to fly but still not enough to not need a trainer.

watch out for:
planes with the wing shaped at a "V" angle too much.
overpriced RTF planes.
wood propellers. they are for sport planes.

look for:
gms and Tower hobbies engines. they are great...
