OK, I have installed one of my iGyro3e's. The answer to my questions are yes and yes. It seems that the gyro forgets the end points every time it shuts down.

A quick tip, if you wasn't aware.

Make the elevator trim separate. That way, you can trim the plane in each of the flight conditions in flight. I also separate aileron trim.

Flew my UF for the first time on thursday. What a great jet it is!
Powered by a Jetcat P80SE. It was not super fast, but fast enough. Even the vertical performance was good.
