RE: New clutch..but not really working :/

Oh I misunderstood the question. I thought when you throttled up it would barely move. I am sorry. Most people adjust their throttle till the clutch does this. They believe it allows you to take off...

RE: New clutch..but not really working :/

Was it working like this before you changed the clutch? If so it may not be the clutch. It may be the transmission or one of the dog bones. It can be a lot of things. If you have one wheel not biting...

RE: kyosho inferno mp6

Tires are pretty standard size and have been for years. As far as the stripped motor mounts re-tap them to a slightly bigger size. I bet you can find a lexan body just about anywhere. Remember if you...

RE: What type of nitro fuel do you prefer?

Nope, and with the price of fuel reaching around $42/ gallon I decided to make my own. You do need to know how to mix it though. If you mix it wrong you can blow your engine. I have mixed plane fuel...

RE: Hyper7e?

No problem at all. It is an easy conversion. I have been thinking of doing it myself.

RE: What type of nitro fuel do you prefer?

I make my own fuel. And sell it to my local club members at a discounted rate so they too can reap the benefit of lower fuel prices.

RE: Hyper7e?

There has been a very successful conversion to electric for the Hyper 7 using a Mamba Monster Motor. I am trying to find the link in you tube so you can see how it is done. As far as the...

RE: Annoying people at the field.

I honestly would have left that club and started my own or joined another club near enough for me to drive. My solo flight was my 6th flight. Everyone was surprised when my instructor told me to...

RE: How to mount RC's on Rack/Wall?

I got in touch with him and he got out of the hobby. Even sold the rack. He is looking through photo albums to see if he has any pictures. If not I will draw up a schematic of what he used to have.

RE: XTM XT2 engine life?

The OWB is a problem for my son's car also. I take it out about every 10 runs and clean it with 3 in one oil. Use an old toothbrush to scrub it then soak it in 3 in one oil overnight. While I have it...

RE: Flywheel issues

It should not damage the piston if you use a zip tie or soft wood like pine; which most popscicle sticks are made of. Just make sure you do not leve a piece of plasyic or wood in the engine.

RE: Annoying people at the field.

I agree a perfect record can be accomplished. It is very hard but the instructor should always check the plane with his student. The best way to avoid an equipment malfunction is to catch it on the...

RE: Flywheel issues

Here is what I have done in this situation. I have a stainless steel bolt that is the same thread pattern as a glow plug. I set it in till it touches the piston head and then turn the screw in front...

RE: Annoying people at the field.

I have been in clubs for years. Everything from airplane clubs to car clubs as far as R/C goes. There is always one or two that are like this. And it is true that if you do not think there are, then...

RE: XTM XT2 engine life?

Almost any engine will last a long time if taken care of properly and maintained on a regular basis. I have a hyper 7 and I have put it through a lot more than most people do. Its engine is still...

RE: How to mount RC's on Rack/Wall?

A friend of mine set up a board that hinged at the floor and ran it up to the cealing. It had a pulley And could be lowered. He then placed planter hooks measured with the cars and trucks to give 2...

RE: will a hyper 8 steering knuckle fit a hyper 7?

It should fit. There is not much design difference between the two. I think the steering was not touched from the hyper 7 to 8.

RE: I was wondering?

It should work. The ESC does not push the amps to the motor. The motor draws the amps. Just keep in mind that you can harm the motor since it may draw too many amps. However, most people run ESC's...

RE: best set up for my Ofna .32 motor ?

Ofna sells a muffler specifically tuned for that engine. It will get you a lot closer than any other muffler. I would run a hot plug just make sure not to flood the engine. Hot plugs are easier to...

RE: engine question

I rarely use a temp gun. Of course I have been using these engines for over 20 years. Only had one detonate on me, and to be honest it was my mistake.

RE: engine question

Yes I agree the biggest tuning mistake is trying to performance tune a cold engine. The second biggest is to try to tune to a scpecific temperature. But you do need a warm engine to tune the engine...

RE: Hyper 7 PBS, Should I buy a new engine or get the Losi 8ight RTR?

The only reason I can see of getting a kit is that most kits have upgraded parts. Where as RTR cars use more or less the bargain basement parts. I have seen a few kits that will use bargain basement...
