RE: Where you build and store your planes? Temperature!

Yes, RCKen, that did help! The temp and humidity changes in my area are less extreme than in yours, so I am willing to take my chances. I think there ate more RC planes stored in garages than...

RE: Where you build and store your planes? Temperature!

I have to say, I've yet to hear any stories of planes becoming damaged. I wonder how often it occurs?

Where you build and store your planes? Temperature!

Hello all. I am thinking of building an out-building on my property for the purpose of having some shop space. This would be an unheated and uncooled space the majority of the time. I might use a...

RE: Will my Transmitter Work for Better Gliders?

Bruce is right. I think many of us would like to hear more from you rcpilotny!

The DX6i does allow servo reversing of course.

RE: Radian...MY brief review

Thanks Ed. You actually played a part in my decision to purchase the Radian. Your credibility in this forum, along with your consistent endorsement of this plane, helped with the decision. I had a...

Radian...MY brief review

Picked up a Radian yesterday, and just now came back from flying it. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/wink_smile.gif

<u>Pros</u>: Extraordinarily affordable,...

RE: Will my Transmitter Work for Better Gliders?

Thanks Bruce. That's exactly what I was thinking. If I ever do a contest and want to do more...maybe then. Even if just for myself, I may get one later. For now, even if I just have RES, I should be...

Will my Transmitter Work for Better Gliders?

I own a Spektrum DX6i Tx. It is capable of the following airplane programming functions: Flaps, P-mixes, Dual aileron, V-tail, Delta, Differential. I got this radio because I thought I'd give powered...

RE: Your Fancy Glider is Broken?

I have, but I'm afraid I'll spend more time throwing the plane than flying it. I'm disabled with chronic lyme disease, and fatigue easily. So...that scares me off. Otherwise, I'd consider buying one....

TIA wrote: "Some of your typical LMR type ships like a Pulsar, Chrysalis, or Soprano will be planes that will float around all day if you want."

What is LMR?

Also, Bruce, I failed to answer...

RE: Your Fancy Glider is Broken?

Oh Man! If I had decent slopes to fly here, I'd not be writing in the forum and asking all these questions. I've slope soared for several years, but that was in coastal California. Here in So Oregon,...

RE: Your Fancy Glider is Broken?

Hey there TIA!

Well, I'm not exactly sure what you mean about a 100%TD ship being boring. In what way do you mean?

I think you're right about buying a used Siren, then turning around and...

RE: Your Fancy Glider is Broken?

You make a good point, but isn't this puppy a hotliner? How well can it possibly thermal??? I don't want to only get a $10 flight time. What do you think?

RE: Nice Glider, but EXPENSIVE motor!???

Yeah...but still! $359???

Motor, speed controller, gear drive, prop, battery pack and connectors. Seems like the cost should be $70 + $40 + $20 + $30 + $10 = $170! So, what's up?

Nice Glider, but EXPENSIVE motor!???

This confuses me. I see a page like this one, nesail.com/detail.php (http://nesail.com/detail.php?productID=5513) , one where I'll be looking at a plane I might be considering, and then toward the...

Your Fancy Glider is Broken?

I'm in the market for a nice intermediate thermal glider...most likely an electric. So, I've been reading posts, looking at the various websites and models, etc. However, here's my concern, and...

RE: Got Glider Answers?

Hey Jon, do those DLG's last? I mean, with all that yanking on the wing tip, doesn't it take its toll on the plane?
