RE: CSP/GSP Giles 72" with U.S 35cc. Will it work?

Go the MVVS 160 with the tune pipe. Alot lighter and better suited to the plane. If you look around there is a posting of a guy from europe with this setup and he is quite impressed.

RE: KATANA 50 ENGINE SIZE

The 61 was a GMS so it is a little heavier than the OS. With the 61 the plane needed to be flown in the air at a higher speed to stop it from stalling. When we put the 52 in it it could be slowed...

RE: KATANA 50 ENGINE SIZE

With a 61 flys like a brick, I mean a dead stick that happened about 40 feet up the plane only glided probably 20 forward before hitting the ground. A bit of a rough landing and the landing gear will...

RE: Smart Fly regulators

RE: Planes for 25 cc engines

Zippi
You might want to do a bit more research on the interference issues. There are several reasons why people have these problems and using a PPM radio is not the only way to solve the issues....

RE: Looking for a good 30% Extra Kit.

Alot of people on here recommend the Columbo Anderson Kits. They build quick and light and best of all fly great.

RE: Katana 50 ARF Engine Choice

Yes I was going to suggest the 82 but wasn't quite sure of the weight. The difference will probably be less seeing no pitts style muffler is needed. Do what you can to lighten the plane. It is a very...

RE: Katana 50 ARF Engine Choice

Stick with something that weights around a 52 2 stroke. It tends to become a lead sled with a heavier motor. Been there done that, not a good result.

RE: Question about fuel flow

I've seen in some weedeaters that the fuel pickup is simply at the bottom of the tank only. There isn't enought tube to move to the top of the tank when it's turn upside down hence it won't run.

RE: Future 40?

Seen one fly quite a few times. Tended to rock a fair bit in harriers, and then all of a sudden it would stall an fall off to the side quickly. Not very useful when you are low. Knife edge sucked on...
