What kind of vehicle are you running? Usually moving some weight to the front will help the tires hook up.

Very sharp hobby knives and scissors

Invest in a small Exacto kit. The blades are cheap, so toss them when they start to lose that razor edge. I use hobby scissors to cut off most of the excess lexan, then use the blades to get close...

Ok. I think I see your point now. I'd like reverse since I'll mainly be driving it around my neighborhood. It could come in handy if I find myself stuck in front of a curb or something like that.

Casey, the ESC I posted above is advertised has having brakes in addition to reverse. Is that not the case? I'm still learning about all this stuff. Thanks for any input.

A simple solution is to add some weight to the front of the car. Lead weights work pretty well from what I've seen.

Mr. Magic- If lower turns equals more performance, why would I want to go from a 20 to a 27 (p2k2)? From what you've said, it would be slower on top and have less punch down low. Or am I missing...

Thanks, Casey. The ESC is an LRP Runner. Not sure what it can handle. I'm still learning what "Turns" and other engine terminology mean. I'm learning a lot just browsing the threads here.
