My front wheels are pushing

What kind of vehicle are you running? Usually moving some weight to the front will help the tires hook up.

Very sharp hobby knives and scissors

Invest in a small Exacto kit. The blades are cheap, so toss them when they start to lose that razor edge. I use hobby scissors to cut off most of the excess lexan, then use the blades to get close...

Where to solder on the motor?

The back of the motor will have two tabs or posts for soldering the leads. One of them is marked with a "+" (positive). Solder the red lead to the positive tab and solder the black lead to the...

First E-Maxx Hop Up

I've posted this on a couple of different forums, so forgive me if you've seen this before:

I just bought an E-Maxx as my first RC monster truck (I prefer electrics over nitros). Out of the box...

RC10T3 Potential

Ok. I think I see your point now. I'd like reverse since I'll mainly be driving it around my neighborhood. It could come in handy if I find myself stuck in front of a curb or something like that.

Casey...

Casey, the ESC I posted above is advertised has having brakes in addition to reverse. Is that not the case? I'm still learning about all this stuff. Thanks for any input.

car pushing through the corners?

A simple solution is to add some weight to the front of the car. Lead weights work pretty well from what I've seen.

Actually, I chose this one since I don't plan on racing it:

I just got back from the LSH. They didn't have any 17T doubles, but I brought home a P2K2 Pro for the T3. However, I can't install it until I get a hex wrench to fit the pinion gear set screw (18...

Thanks for the info...

I think I'll go ahead an order both. I'm planning on building a TC3 soon, so I suppose I could use the extra for that car. Thanks for all the replies and helping out a newbie.

RC10T3 Potential

Mr. Magic- If lower turns equals more performance, why would I want to go from a 20 to a 27 (p2k2)? From what you've said, it would be slower on top and have less punch down low. Or am I missing...

Best motor for top speed and acceleration?

I realize that top speed and top acceleration are mutually exclusive with a fixed ratio final drive, but what engine would give me the best compromise with my LRP Runner ESC?

According to the...

RC10T3 Potential

Thanks, Casey. The ESC is an LRP Runner. Not sure what it can handle. I'm still learning what "Turns" and other engine terminology mean. I'm learning a lot just browsing the threads here.

I'm a complete newbie to the RC world. Last weekend I was driving home and noticed a new Hobby Town shop in my neighborhood. I stopped by and looked at the RC cars and a RC10T3 RTR caught my eye. ...

That little piece of circuit board isn't connected to anything. It fits in a little slot down at the bottom of the pistol grip. I have no clue why it's there.

The beeping noise is caused by a...
