RE: Hangar 9 80" Cap Rerelease?

The Wildhare does not fly as well as the Hangar 9 80" Cap according to several pilots here.

I really don't get it; there are more 50cc motors on the market than ever, why pull a great model...

RE: Whic is a more efficient prop?

The Mejzlik look like the best designed prop I've seen next to APC for the smaller stuff. Why do you not see more of these on the field? Mine had has brushed the ground twice without breaking the...

RE: Futaba 9CH or Hitec Eclipse 7?

I had both but recently sold my Hitec Eclipse 7. The 9CH is way more flexible and easy to program, just don't read the manual.

The Futaba has a slimer better feel and most of the functions can...

RE: ZDZ 50 Prop Position

Thanks,

I'll leave it alone.

I tried the "rocking against compression" routine about 30 times and that did not work.

ZDZ 50 Prop Position

I am still trying to figure out how to start my semi-new ZDZ50NG with less than 30 flips on the first run. When others are proping my engine they said that I need to mount the prop so my hand is at...

RE: "Improving" ZDZ choke

It's not the servo that I've always had on the choke. It's the flip it until it pops that is the problem. Like I said, it WILL FLOOD if I flip it until it pops. Not all engines are the same.

RE: "Improving" ZDZ choke

I have the exact same experience as EJB. If I flip my ZDZ50NG engine until it pops, it's flooded, every time. I've been trying to calculate how many flips it takes to prime the motor, like EJB.

RE: First run ZDZ 50ng Rmps

I Finally got to fly last weekend. After 10 flips to get the ZDZ50NG started the...

RE: RE: RE: ZDZ 50NG vs DA 50

The Pitts Bisson is what they sold me. When you say open up, do you mean cutt off 1/4" off the tips? How many rpms does that add? Is it worth the sound difference on a 16 lb airplane?

RE: RE: RE: ZDZ 50NG vs DA 50

Dick,

Do you have a link to some "real" rpm data on the DA and ZDZ using the same mufflers and prop?

I would buy the ZDZ again. No problems so far. I would also buy the DA for sure.

RE: RE: ZDZ 50NG vs DA 50

Thanks.

I learned to kill the engine with the throttle and not the switch, otherwise it floods. Usally one flip on restart. It's the cold start that's fun.

So far I have only been able...

RE: RE: ZDZ 50NG vs DA 50

Dick how do you start a ZDZ with the least amount of flips? I noticed that the ZDZ50NG is extreemly sensitive to flooding.

My ZDZ50NF spun the 22X10 Mejzlic prop at near 7,000 RPM on the very...
