RE: Greater Southwest 2012 Waco Texas

pulled this shot out of one of my videos.......sweet knife edge pass...here's a link to the video as well...I think Scott may have posted it in another thread but thought I'd throw it up here too...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

yeah I was losing a couple teeth each time on mine.  I use 82mgs in a few other planes i have and I have never had an issue with them.  I'm sure they will perform more to your liking.  Just surprised...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

wouldn't setting the endpoint solve your issue?  I've never had the issue you describe.  Mine have just been broken gear teeth from hard landings or something of that nature.

RE: Hitec 5485 servos

I've used 5485's in several planes, including a 30cc gas (not a Wild Hare unfortunately) and they have worked great in every application.  Been flying that gas plane for 2 years without a problem. ...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

I've replaced a couple of gear sets on my HS-81's.  Seems like every third trip to the field I'm stripping one.  I'm running more motor than the plane will ever need so weight isn't an...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

I think I'd still be worried about RPM using full throttle range but I understand the idea behind it all. Its hard to say with any certainty when I don't have a full understanding of the ESC and how...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

Jon,

HAHA...all the info I can get helps....it doesn't irritate me in the slightest to continue the discussion.

But here's something to think about that is a more along the lines of what I'm...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

I'd have to say that I question the amperage issue. With my setup the higher voltage also allows the motor to pull less amperage and put out the same wattage. Understanding exactly how the esc works...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

Hey Jon - I'll go check those out this evening.

I did A LOT of reading beforehand and seems there are mixed reviews on how you can do it. Had several conversations with an electrical engineer as...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

Well opted to try to stick with my 6s packs and the DYS motor. The specs on the DYS are better, 770watts versus 600 on the HD, and rated for 5s versus 4s. Amp rating looks to be about 10 more from...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

Yeah the HD motor flew great on 6s.....for a few minutes....needless to say it would vertical forever and flew great once I got the battery placement/CG right. I'm kind of hesitant to ruin another...

RE: Wild Hare Electrics

could anyone recommend a good motor rated for 6s lipo for this plane? I already have several 6s packs that I use in other things is the only reason I ask. I've found a couple Scorpion motors that...

RE: Thoughts on these two chargers - Dynamite Passport Ultra and Hyperion EOS 0615i DUO3

I, and several of the guys I fly and race with, all have the Hyperion and they work great. I've used the Dynamite too but prefer my Hyperion over all the others. Actually I sold my MRC 989 right...

RE: battery identification

lets say you have an 11.1v 2200mah battery. 1c would be 2.2amps. So if you have a battery that is rated at 15c constant discharge then it is capable of 33amps of constant discharge. The higher the c...

RE: Any thing wrong with my EOS6060i

I have the same issue with my Duo occassionally.  I've found that if I plug the pack in to the charger and the balance board prior to turning on the charger I don't get the error.  I only get it on...

RE: OOPS!=Stitches

I dropped my arm into a 26cc gas motor spinning an 18x6 prop back in October.  Cut all the way through the muscle in my forearm.  Just missed the main nerve that controls most of your hand.  The ER...

RE: Futaba 8FGA or Airtronics 10SD

I've owned the 8FG for the last several months and have been very happy with it.  I found the programming a bit complex at first but after a little time it has become very user friendly for me.  The...

RE: Good sport plane for a Saito 125

I was looking at putting one on a Seagull Edge 540. Looks like it would be a good match.

Ace/TTR Staudacher S-300

I just picked up this ARF at a local swap meet and was wondering if anyone had information about it, building tips, etc. Its a 60 size and I have an OS 1.20 4 stroke that I'm looking to put on it....

RE: Older Futaba S5101 servos on 6volts ?

If it helps any, I have a couple of these servos running in one of my trainers off a 2 cell LiFe pack and they've worked fine for quite some time.
