Kintec has a slick unit you can move from boat to boat. The ideal setup is to hard wire them but I have so many lipos, combos and boats it makes life much easier to just plug one in....

A small piece of silicone tubing stretched over the flex works great. 100 times cheaper and does not mar the flex with a set screw.
