RE: 1/2A fuel

Thanks for the replys. It is sort of annoying that they don't have a complete breakdown of what they're putting in their mix, except for Sig and Glowplugboy, which I ordered this afternoon. I...

1/2A fuel

I can get Hobbico "1/2A" fuel through my local hobby shop. Iread that the old Cox 049s have to have at least 20% oil with at least 10% of that being Castor Oil. I read this off the Cox International...

Quickie TT Third Bearing Mod

After looking on some forums I decided to try and make a simple mod for placing a third bearing in my 130X tail boom. I keptgetting that familiar grind/humming noise caused by the TT rubbing against...

RE: Microheli weighted grips work on Blade 130x

Got my Lynx hub/tailshaft unit in and it's really nice. I didn't have to use my spacers for the MH weighted tail grips. They fit perfectly with no play after tightening the screws. No binding either....

RE: Microheli weighted grips work on Blade 130x

It bent about 3/8ths of an inch from the hub.Obviously it'snot unusual for shafts to bend in a crash but I feel that the metallurgy in this sample was just not strong enough for the minor accident it...

RE: Microheli weighted grips work on Blade 130x

I'm happy with my MH weighted tail grips also but the MH tail shaft that came as a unit with the blade grips has a lot to be desired. Earlier this afternoon a gust of wind blew it down into the grass...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

I still had a little wobble in the main rotor so I tightened up the blades a little more and it completely went away. I've been watching it close for the last eight flights and it's still good....

RE: 130x tail

Have you tried substituting the swash grommets with the spare canopy grommets that came with your heli? It seems to do the trick for a lot of people. One thing I discovered this evening. I could take...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

I have read that one source of wobble is the swash linkages are too sloppy with the existing grommets that are on the swash from the factory. A popular fix ( and it's been mentioned pretty...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

I just discovered another little tidbit of info. I took off my CF tail boom because I'll be replacing the tailbox with a Rakon heli upgrade.
To my surprise the tailboom was completely split in...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

New update:  My tail started to jitter back and forth violently during a recent flight. I replaced C and D gears along with new metal A gear. I made sure that the tail boom was adjusted so there...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

Thanks, and I know what you mean. 30 years ago during the dawn of the new 'Cricket" heli that some people had at the flying field and was even at that time outside my budget, I remember...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

The problem has been solved. I went ahead and put my old gear in and flew it. Couldn't wait. Still shook around like crazy which means the tailbox treatment didn't work either, so I decided to go to...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

Actually, based on the advice of my LHS owner, the grommet swap was the first thing I did when I got the heli. Like you said, I just substituted the o-rings for the canopy grommets to eliminate the...

RE: Blade 130X wobble

I'll see what I can do. I just ordered one of the new optional metal tail gears if for no other reason just to have a more resilient gear. Since it's apart I'll wait until Tuesday when the new gear...

RE: Blade 130X Upgrades

Any idea when your Hughes 300 kit is coming for the 120? It could probably be retrofitted to the 130X</p>

Blade 130X wobble

I've had my 130Xfor about three weeks and have been doing mild circuits around my yard, being this is my first CP heli as a step up from my 120SR. I've had a few crashes into soft grass and aluminum...

RE: 120SR I has 1

Hi. First post in this forum. I tooboughtthe SR 120 and the UM T-28 about a month ago. I think the 120 is a great little heli. Even though I've been flying here and there since the early eighties, I...

Hello. First post here. You're not alone Kodiak. I'm 53 and just got into EDFs myself, and electric flight in general. I bought a JPower T33 inkit form from Toysonics before practically everything...
