I think that if you want to upgrade the motors, replace the 3 pole motors with 5 pole toy locomotive motors. The 5 pole motors runs slower with more torque. Maybe look for a motor used in a G...

Bearing kits are usually cheaper than separates. My LHS said the same thing. At the LHS I would have paid $75+ for the same kit of bearings that I got from Tower for $35. Shipping from Towers...

I didn't lock the center diff on mine. Makes it easier to turn on high traction surfaces like indoor carpet or concrete. If you have a loose surface like sand or dirt, locking the center is better...

Before you start stripping the paint, try rubbing it out first. You have nothing to lose except a few minutes of your time. Wet sand it down with 800, 1000 and 2000 sandpapaer and then use some...
