RE: axe cp thread

I have to agree with JEMFLYER on this one. Adding weights is counterproductive, The Axe out of the box is a very stable heli because it is heavy for it's size. If you can't hover something or several...

RE: axe cp thread

Suit yourself, But I would be saving that money for repairs. There is no reason to get rid of the 3-1 unless your is faulty. Since you paid good money for it I would keep it until you get into some...

RE: axe cp thread

If it ain't broke, Don't fix it.:D I would worry about flying it before going mod crazy.

RE: axe cp thread

Try pushing the throttle higher. :) Seriously, The tail rotor won't start spinning until you reach a certain rpm on the main rotor.

RE: axe cp thread

Yeah your either going to have to gear down or go with a higher C rating on your battery. What battery are you using? Also what are your pitch ranges? Too much pitch can cause higher amp draw on the...

RE: axe cp thread

As long as it's not puffed and is has around 3volts per cell you should be ok. Does the stock pinion fit that motor and if not what pinion are you using?

RE: axe cp thread

Nice vids. How long have you been flying? Also what motor are you using, It sounds more aggressive than the esky motor i'm using. I never thought getting Don (rosella) to come out with the Axe...

RE: axe cp thread

Turning the gyro gain down on the 3-n-1 effectively disables it. Now I have heard of instances where people have had to have a bit of gain on the stock gyro for the upgraded gyro to get a signal. I...

RE: axe cp thread

The tail esc is in effect your tail servo so you want to plug the esc in where you would normally plug in the tail servo. Which telebee do you have? One has two connecting wires and the other micro...

RE: The Axe CP-L as a 2nd Helicopter?

I went ahead and read all the replies and the one thing that wasn't mentioned is parts availability. It doesn't matter what heli you get if you can't get parts locally for it. I'm not one to want to...

RE: GYRO and the AXE CP

Double check the main motor wires, Others have had that same problem and it turned out to be a bad solder joint underneath the shrink wrap.

RE: VPP Tail Rotor???

Yeah it works but they've already burned up a brushless tail motor and esc running it in idle up mode. It is a cool idea but I don't think the tail motor needs to be running at %100 or close to it...

RE: GYRO and the AXE CP

What does it matter if you crash a blade 400 or an Axe Cp with $460 dollars invested in it? You still have 460 bucks worth of junk when you crash. Alot of people complain because they've dumped 100,...

RE: GYRO and the AXE CP

The Axe is not a trainer heli, It just happens to come with something that most heli's do not and that would be the training gear. Usually that is seperate cost to purchase with most helis. .30 sized...

RE: GYRO and the AXE CP

I don't look at it so much as being expensive, More like an investment. You can move that gyro to another heli and it will work just as well. I've used cheaper gyros and while they will work you get...

RE: axe cp thread

The thing is the gyro wasn't designed to be a speed controller and the motor can pull to many amps causing a failure.

RE: axe cp thread

I did this with a telebee gyro on the axe once and it lasted all of five minutes. I would use a seperate esc if I were you. Some people have had success without one but the voltage on the axe seems...

RE: Ucando update

Congrats on learning to hover!!!

Some people cut the bottom out of the canopy to make it easier to unplug/charge the battery but I think this is a bad habit to get into. If you have a lipo...

RE: Not cut out for it

I would still get a sim even if it's FMS(free). Even if you only practice on it 10 to 15 minutes a day it will pay off huge when you go and fly your heli. You can use a ps2 analog controller with...

RE: Lipo charging time?

Heh, 1C is 1C, If your charger can handle the battery at it's max charge rate there's nothing you can really do. Sure you can charge nimh/nicads faster but with a big weight penalty and shorter...

RE: Not cut out for it

Hmm, Seeing as how the Cp-L hasn't been out very long don't you think your giving in a little early? I mean I know the learning curve is steep but I wouldn't expect to learn all orientations and...

RE: Do they fly realistic?

You can tweak the gyro settings in RF to turn off heading hold on the Axe.
