motor mount problem

my traxxas nitro rustler used to have a trx pro .15 on it. when i needed to i replaced it with a max-18CV-RX w/11J.

but the motor mount from the pro .15 does not clear the backplate.

i doubt this is right but maybe the engine is floodded. lossen the glow plug 1/8 to a 1/4 of a turn and see if it turns over. if it does, take out the glow plug, hold the motor upsidedown turn it...
